I am the founder of one of the affected projects (Upfiring/UFR) and have been getting tons of emails and messages about whether any tokens will be able to be recovered from the Cryptopia hack.Cryptopia deposits work like most other exchanges - you deposit your tokens to a personal deposit address and then they are sent to their main wallet and credited to your account. However, based on the way Cryptopia deals with deposit addresses/hot wallet transfers, it appears the attacker did not get all the Ethereum-based tokens that were on the exchange. Cryptopia sometimes allows your token deposits to sit in your personal deposit address for several weeks or even months while still crediting your acccount. If this is the case, your ERC20 tokens may still be sitting in your Cryptopia deposit address, and there is a reasonable chance you may be able to recover them from Cryptopia at some point in the future.Several users in our community have reported that their tokens are still sitting in their Cryptopia personal deposit address and were never moved to the hot wallet, so it is worth checking! It seems to be about 50/50 so far - based on how long ago your deposit was and the amount.
