A machine that will never be turned off

First, I hope anyone reading this is in good health. Second, I haven't felt like this since 2013, when just discovering "magic internet money". It has been interesting watching the technology grow along with market bubbles and crashes. The whole gamut of human behavior in the face of a modern gold rush.Now, in 2020, a second gold rush, not just in crypto currencies but in physical gold itself, against the backdrop of disease, political instability, and an uncertain economic future. In my prior dabbling, I thought, well, "this crypto thing is an interesting experiment, it's exciting but may not work out".But today, I realized that there is no going back. From the original crypto to the new contenders, this is not going away. I wish climate change can be meaningfully addressed in my lifetime, but I am certain that the technology of money will absolutely be transformed.
