I am Amrit Kumar, President and Co-Founder of Zilliqa, AMA!

Hello all! The AMA will start today at 1 pm UTC time, but you can already write your questions here and I’ll do my best to respond to all of them:)Who are you and what is your relation to Zilliqa? My name is Amrit Kumar. I am a Co-Founder and the President of Zilliqa Research. Zilliqa Research is the creator and maintainer of the Zilliqa platform. My background is in security and privacy research. Prior to Zilliqa, I was a researcher at the National University of Singapore, involved in blockchain research. What is Zilliqa and why is it relevant to the sub?Zilliqa is a blockchain platform with smart contract features. It was designed to address two key problems of legacy platforms namely, scalability and smart contract safety. Zilliqa addresses scalability with the use of sharding -- an approach to divide the network into smaller groups that can process transactions in parallel. The platform also comes with a new smart contract language called Scilla that is designed to harden safety of smart contracts. The subreddit serves as a forum for the community to share thoughts, ideas, news, etc around blockchains and cryptocurrencies. And since Zilliqa is the first chain to push sharding to mainnet -- an idea that several other chains are now pursuing, I believe that the community would be interested in knowing about the challenges we faced, our learnings; our approach to ecosystem development in Asia (where we are heavily focused) which is home to a large number of developers, and plans for future technical development and ecosystem growth. Why are you here to talk with sub users and what do you want to talk about?I would like to do an outreach to the sub users to present what Zilliqa is about, its technology, its ecosystem and plans for the future with the objective to introduce them to Zilliqa and some of the unique opportunities that the Asian market provides for blockchain-backed products and services. Hopefully, some of the users may join our own vibrant community to share their experiences, thoughts, ideas and hopefully contribute to the Zilliqa ecosystem.
