I still cannot believe what happened.I've been laid off almost 2 years ago due to COVID and the company trying to keep the income stable so I was one of the first people to go. Since then I've been working my ass off at part time jobs just to survive my 2 kids. We were very humble in spending and such thing before that but since 2 years ago, we had to fasten the belts twice or three times that hard. It sucked and it still sucks.Around 1 year ago I got here on r/CryptoCurrency from a comment by someone on personal finances and beer money because I was trying to get every single buck I could. I've been gardening most of the spring/summer, working as a janitor, security guard, baby sitter, tree sculpturer, garbage disposal, and vaccination assistant at centres for COVID vaccine. I worked whole days and many many nights. Meanwhile I was juggling taking care of family, taking kids for their first vacations ever (thanks moons) and doing chores around house and cooking. I am mentally and physically completely drained.Anyway, I came here and I learned. Every day was something new to me. I started with $10 of ADA back in February and since then slowly kept adding a few dollars a month. I watched MIT lectures, read whitepapers, read analysis, learned the inner workings of blockchains, DAG, learned a bit of programming on the side watching tutorials on youtube while on break, posting stuff here, learned more about Dapps, staking and then stablecoin staking, DeFi, chart analitics...and so on. I learned more in a year here than I did in my whole life in educational institutions.A week ago, my local primary school posted a job ad for a teacher of technology, computers and virtual currencies. I was surprised that they even have this at a primary school which is in middle of nowhere. Well..I applied but never even remotely thought anything will happen as I send out dozens of applications every week to various companies in hopes to get employed.Earlier today, I got a call from the principal of the school. They want me to teach crypto (and basic programming) to kids from 4th to 9th grade! I cant believe it. I am so grateful I cannot express it with words. Not only to school who would like me to teach there but to you as a community who gave so much to me, so many resources, help and kindness. Thank you. THANK YOUI'm posting a picture of me on my teachers throne on the first day of school guys.
