When I first started learning about MOONs, I have to be honest, I got REALLLLLY excited. For reference, I made a post yesterday, asking people to explain MOON to me as if I were a 5-year-old. Here's the thread. And the more I read people's comments, the more it gave me mixed feelings about MOONs.Here's what I noticed:A lot of people complained about how MOONs are just going to make the MODs richer. So I went and checked their profiles. Some of them have over 500k MOONs (that's roughly $125k at the current price). This is insane!Paranoia has been growing a lot in this sub. It's hard to tell whether people are posting something just to farm MOON, or whether they genuinely care about the crypto community, and specifically this sub. This ends up in people randomly downvoting comments or posts without fully understanding the meaning behind that post or comment. For example, one user mentioned how this guy posted a personal scam story and people thought it was a MOON farming post and started downvoting him. Then went back and apologized after realizing it was true.Just to add up to point number 2 - I got downvoted for saying 'thank you' on one comment.Downvoting bots have been increasing. I don't see how this is a good thing for the sub. Many people's answers to the question 'how do you get MOON' were: Just shitpost a lot, you'll get MOONs - while that's funny, it's worrisome if a good chunk of people thinks that way.All in all, a lot of people complained about how MOON changed the psychology of upvoting/downvoting.Oh and lastly, a lot of people on this sub think it's funny to answer with: 'the moon is that shiny object you see at night when you look up at the sky' - seriously? what are you, 5?Isn't there something we can do about this? I have a feeling the more MOON rises in monetary value, the more it will f**k this community up.
