Why does coins not convert to PoS/DPoS?

Hi everybody, I'm fairly new to the crypto world and I was reading an article stating the differences between Proof of Work, proof of stake and Delegated proof of stake.Maybe thr article was biased but it appeared that the PoS/DPoS system was far better than the PoW on many fields, including scalability and decentralization.Given this, why coins with scalability issues, such as Bitcoin, not convert to PoS/DPoS to deal with their most criticized aspect, like (I believe) Ethereum is doing right now?
