I just did the maths on a comment in daily, and felt like sharing with y’all:Each upvote can receive up to a 2.5x multiplier (2x for comment karma, 5% bonus for voting, 20% bonus for holding)This means that 1 upvote = 2.5 upvotesWith a conservative (for now, at least) estimate of the karma/moon ratio being 0.2And a current price of moons at 0.21cEach upvote = 2.5x0.2x0.21 which = 0.105THAT MEANS EACH UPVOTE IS WORTH 10c HOW CRAZY IS THAT?!It’s almost unfathomable to me, not just because I can earn money for doing something that i’d anyway be doing for fun, but also the massive impact that this could actually have on people’s lives. Like me simply enjoying/appreciating someone’s comment could actually make a considerable difference to their day! (obviously depending where they are, and the life they’re living :p)Edit: Please do bear in mind that this is an estimate and revolves around the karma/moon ratio being around 0.2. I have no way of knowing what it will ACTUALLY be, but that was a guess that I made with what i’ve seen so far. It also is dependent on the price, which I also have no method of controlling!
