I present you the highest denomination banknote in circulation in the world (AFAIK), the 1,000,000 Bolivares bill! When released months ago was worth 0.52 USD now sits confortably at 0.25 USD!

Hi, Venezuelan living here.Even when released months ago, it has been incredible hard to find this banknote.Three banknotes were released in March. 200,000 Bs., 500,000 Bs. and 1,000,000 Bs. The 200,000 and 500,000 Bs. easy to find. When they were announced (March 2021) exchange rate was 1 USD = 1,920,000 Bs. That is the 0.52 USD "initial value".Bills were printed in September 2020 by the way, when printed exchange rate was 1 USD = 360,000 Bs. so that bill was around 3 USD when printed.Today exchange rate is 1 USD = 4,000,000 Bs, so only 0.25 USD.Some redditors have asked me to ship some of these bills as collectionables or souvenirs, it's really hard because I have only one 1million bill AND technically is not legal to ship circulating currency (and this goverments how to know how to "enforce" things if they want to, here there is not rule of law, you cannot win ANYTHING against the goverment).Years ago I found a way to ship some bills to some redditors like u/Lord_Saren but not possible for nowSee the detail, they didn't use 1,000,000 Bs. but instead 1 millon (million in spanish), I suspect this is to reuse that bill when they remove 6 zeros from the currency, this 1,000,000 Bs. bill would become the "new" 1 Bs. bill.https://ift.tt/3x3RuUh
