Does Crypto react to the global economy or the US economy?

I have been coming across a lot of speculation recently that ties predictions of Crypto movements to the movements of the US economy (ie, inflation, stock market, real estate). These speculations seem to ignore the fact that Crypto markets are global.The main question here is: How much does the US economy affect the swings in Crypto (mainly BTC)?
