The Bulls have been back for the past several months ...

https://ift.tt/2FN3rGy have been tracking my crypto portfolio + crypto equities (Hive + Galaxy Digital Holdings etc.), and above is the portfolio performance since Dec 29th 2018. I had cashed out a portion of my portfolio early in 2018 and decided to accumulate tail end of December 2019. It certainly supports the recent statements by /u/ScienceGuy9489 and /u/ethhodlr that we are in a bull market. If you are interested in building your own tracker in google sheets / you can use:Example:+ for stocks =googlefinance("CVE:HIVE","price")+ for crypto =VALUE(REGEXEXTRACT(IMPORTDATA("https://ift.tt/2Ozt3Jy), "{.+:(.+)}")) // Google Sheets allow API calls+ To get fancy 7 day / 30 day charts in google sheets (notice today() - 7) :=SPARKLINE(googlefinance("CVE:HIVE","price",TODAY()-7,TODAY()))

Need to confirm something with you guys who know about taxes....

I know if you sell your crypto to USD, it's a taxable event.I know if you trade your crypto for another crypto, it's a taxable event.I know if you get a dividend from a crypto, like KCS, it's taxable. (not 100% sure about this, but pretty sure)Now my question is, lets say every time I buy BTC (as an example $100 worth), I trade the BTC for "x" crypto. I know it's taxable, but I trade immediately after purchasing the BTC, and the "x" crypto is also worth $100 after the trade. Then no gains or losses happened, right? It would mean I owe no tax on that trade, and also realized no loss? (Until I of course trade that "x" crypto for another crypto or USD).Might be a stupid question, I just want confirmation, pretty sure it works like that. Also, this might help others if they have any questions.Any help is appreciated, thank you.

How Much Bitcoin Does the US Government/FBI Currently Have?

The FBI was and still might be the largest holder of Bitcoin in the world. From the Silk Road and BTC-e, they have sized hundreds of thousands of Bitcoin. I believe one of the BTC-e addresses had over 550k bitcoin in it at the time of seizure. Anyone know more about the situation? How much they have, how much they have auctioned, how much they might just keep. The history of these event and the current status is really muddy and hard to research so I'm hoping there are some Bitcoin OG's on here who can provide some history.Bonus wild idea: If the FBI/US Govt decide to keep the Bitcoin they have and not even auction, we may have our first central bank Bitcoin holding and not even realize it.

https://ift.tt/2UnymRG. This is Bithumb, the global cryptocurrency exchange. We deeply apologize to our members for delaying the cryptocurrency deposit and withdrawal service, We would like to inform you of the circumstances of the grounds and confirm that your assets are safe.About 10:15 pm on the 29th,we detected abnormal withdrawal of the company's cryptocurrency through Bithumb's abnormal trading monitoring system.According to the company's manual, Bithumb secured all the cryptocurrency from the detection time with a cold wallet and checked them by blocking deposit and withdrawal service. As a result of the inspection, it is judged that the incident is an accident involving insiders because the external intrusion path has not been revealed until now. This happens because there is difference between the supply and the demand. While the economy is unstable in some countries, more and more people get into crypto. At the same time, the governments supports only their domestic currency. This increases the demand, while the supply is low.

Basically what the title says... I had an account with Coingate. They banned my merchant account for no reason 9 days ago. In the email they sent me, they asked me to get in touch with them so that they can send me my funds.I wrote them 3 emails in the last days and they did not answer me.So that's just a recommendation for those of you who have a merchant account with coingate: be very careful with them. I don't know exactly what's happening here: whether their customer service is very, very bad (best case scenario), whether they are randomly scamming their customers.Ticket numbers (in case someone from coingate is reading this post): #19176 and #19746.

Why bitcoin POW is potentially unsafe

Very interesting read from a Dutch blogger (whom is also pro-bitcoin). Don't let the title fool you. This guy actually makes a solid point about the 80% BTC hashing power being centralized in China alone, and that only 5 or 6 mining pools could take control over the network. BTC is getting more and more centralized in that sense. It is interesting to see how different blockchain protocols would potentially be able to fight these attacks. An interesting read that really makes you think.https://ift.tt/2HW7T78

The importance of the Crypto aha moment

I started 2014 with Cryptos but more as a bystander and observer. It was 2016 when I started working fulltime in this industry. As many of us, I suffer every time something happens: a maximalist throws up with some stupid arguments, the press pretends to find the 1228th negative point to Bitcoin, a professor or politician saying: “it will never happen”, a friend smiling and telling you “you are wasting your time”, or your son (who is a millennial) having moved from an advocate to a i-don’t-care person. And we then gather together around the influencers that tell us: it is going to be great. Most of my time I have to deal with serious business people or high-ranking politicians and one of the big problems I see: people don’t understand cryptos. Even if you explain to them how things work and what it is all about, they don’t get it. In my environment there is nobody that shows even the slightest interest although everybody is of the opinion that this is the future. I can try to explain from any angle (investment: boom will come, or it is about the technology) and they all smile back at me and continue in their own world. I can explain it many times, I can guide them through the process. Nothing. A week later they are back to square one.So why is that so difficult? If this is the future, why is it so difficult to engage them? I now believe it has to do with an aha moment. I had a few moments of joy, but only one aha-moment. For example, the first metamask transaction, the first transfer to an exchange, the first fight with an exchange, the running of an Ethereum node, … My first aha moment was, when I took a Maker loan. It was simple and within minutes I received the DAI tokens. That was impressive as getting a loan through a bank is a painful experience (recently I applied for one: they needed access to my credit rating, tax returns, plans, I had to fill out several forms, …). With Maker: no questions asked and within minutes. That impressed me.What was your aha-moment?

Why does it seem like every project has a Telegram group and they encourage people to join?I've tried keeping up to date with my favourite projects via Telegram but as far as I can tell it's just a great big group chat with thousands of other users. It ends up being a jumbled mess of messages very shortly.Am I doing something wrong? Or is this just how it is and some people like that?

Write up on Hal Finney

I did a write up for an article about the possible whereabouts of Satoshi Nakamoto. I have already written about Nick Szabo, Dorian Nakamoto, and Dave Kleiman. Im writing about Hal now and I thought you may enjoy it.Hal FinneyHal Finney was quite influential in the beginning of Bitcoin. He received the first BTC transaction from “Satoshi Nakamoto”. But I am getting ahead of myself. Lets start at the beginning. Hal was born on May 4, 1956. He began his computer-centric career developing console video games. This really intrigued me, as I was a huge fan of console gaming back in the 80’s. Games like “Adventures of Tron (ironic I know), Armor Ambush, and Space Attack. Hal eventually left the console world to focus on cryptography. He became a developer for the PGP corporation (Which happened to be one of the first publicly available implementations of public-key cryptography) This allowed people to chat with each other via computer with encryption ensuring a secure connection. When you see the goal of PGP it is no wonder why Hal got involved with Bitcoin. He had been in cryptography for decades before Bitcoin was ever thought of. As a regular poster on the Cypherpunks mailing list. If you are a fan of cryptocurrency and you don’t know who or what “Cypherpunk” was I suggest you do a bit of research. These were the people that blazed the way for Bitcoin. I am quite certain that without this group of computer geniuses we would still be stuck with no other alternative than fiat. Fast forward to 2004 and you would witness the first creation of a reusable proof of work system. This predated Bitcoin by at least 5 years. This is one reason many folks believe Hal was in fact Satoshi Nakamoto. A statement that Hal repeatedly denied while he was alive. As far back as 1993 Hal was discussing a solution for solving the “double spend” issue that plagued the precursors to Bitcoin. Hal was a visionary, as he could see the issues cryptocurrency would face and started trying to solve them long before Bitcoin was ever implemented. Hal’s writing about “reusable proof of work” can be seen at the following link: https://ift.tt/2UWx1P4. The actual website can be found here for Hal’s project (which is now terminated) https://ift.tt/2CAlSMA. Hal was a known cypherpunk for decades and when Bitcoin came along, it was natural for Hal to be involved. He has every qualification to claim the name Satoshi Nakamoto, that is for sure. But lets focus on what we do know about him. He actually lived in the same city as Dorian Nakamoto (I discussed him in my last write up “Part 1”) This added fuel to the flames that Hal or Dorian were Satoshi, and they may or may not have worked together. Of course, it is speculation, but it is interesting none the less. Hal and Satoshi communicated regularly through email about BTC and these emails are now a part of the history of BTC. Some claim Hal was actually emailing himself in order to hide his tracks and cover up the fact that Hal was actually Satoshi, which is possible. Hal was a giant in the cryptography and cryptocurrency fields. If I were to personally come out and call anyone Satoshi it would be Hal Finney (Just my personal opinion). The history of Bitcoin would be incomplete without mentioning Hal Finney. Sadly Hal contracted Lou Gehrig’s disease and decided to announce the diagnosis publicly in October 2009. Even with death being a certainty Hal persisted and continued his work, even while using breathing assistance and being restricted to a wheelchair, until his death in August of 2014. His death was a blow to everyone that appreciated cryptography and knew of this brilliant mind. Hal selflessly sacrificed his time and efforts to ensure privacy would not disappear in the age of growing computer dominance. If you like Bitcoin, you should be thankful for Hal Finney. He was very influential in the creation of cryptocurrencies (Perhaps he was Satoshi) One thing we do know is we don’t know if it was Hal or not. Hal was a smart fella that could have very easily hidden his tracks. Hal was an advocate for privacy and for that I salute him. Thank you for your contributions Mr. Finney. Your legacy will live on through the next generation of developers you have inspired through your work. Rest in peace sir, your journey through life helped the world. We should all be thankful.

Hi guys, so what do you keep for the long term and why?So far I believe just in BTC, ETH and MKR as I can see success scenario.BTC store of value for conservatives. ETH will be probably able to be hold value as unlimited possibilities into the future. ETH will be probably store of value for dreamers that the next thing is still on its way. I believe it's safe to be in ETH unless narrative changes. MKR has a business plan and adoption so far. Decentralized lending and leverage provider.(I have described just simplistic versions of "why")What about you?

We Need another Year for People To Literally Forget the Past Exists

The boom periods can't return fast, for a simple reason. Average retail buyer is well aware of the recent fall. It takes months of confidence building, and then the hysteria starts afresh. That's why sideways for more months. The faucet of new money won't inflow into Crypto until old memories are extinguished. This is literally a neurological phenomena. But, signs are there that it will happen again. The advertising that is being conducted now by exchanges to Joe Public will not have a fast response, people take months to reach investment decisions, but think of it as planting FOMO. I don't want to sound cynical, but this is what happens and caused all those bubbles before.

Realistically, what does cryptocurrency need to succeed?

In some ways it feels like crypto is right on the precipice of mainstream adoption, just look at how many people got in on it so quickly in 2017. It literally blew up, people are aware of it.I feel like the technology might actually be catching up to the hype too. With the tech now allowing near instantaneous payments at nearly 0 cost. Improvements are being made daily to accessibility too, the new Samsung phone supports crypto out of the box now!So what do we need out of crypto right now to push it over the edge? These guys seem convinced it needs to become legal tender.I don't really know that I agree, it seems like we could potentially leap frog over government entities entirely in the process. It's never been done before, but I can see it happening. Any other thoughts?

Xtrabytes team is trying to dump their personal XBY and XFuel via ‘coverage wallets’ on Waves Dex. Do NOT get suckered into the scam!

https://ift.tt/2FjAlgg a number of weeks in development, Xtrabytes is now available on Waves Dex. Not only can you purchase XBY - you can purchase XFuel as well. XFuel is the token that powers their nonexistent blockchain. They created XFuel out of thin air (yes, I know technically all coins are made out of thin air), but it has no utility and is currently completely worthless. XFuel is disbursed to team members as payment, with Borz and CCR rumored (Said by Alan/Ashley in a Discord chat) to be getting 1 million coins each per month, that they allotted to themselves. Before now, you could only purchase XFuel thru the Xtrabytes Discord and an escrow service, which is the exact same process, but they wanted it to look more official. The distribution of XFuel is extremely uneven, as team members hold hundreds of thousands, even millions, of it, where as it has not been easily available to the public. Here they explain XFuel distribution. ‘...they [XFuel] are either bought from a developer or earned by a developer.‘ The article was linked in a comment by u/alex777tm, an XBY team member in this comment where he states that XFuel is an ‘internal community token only.’This is where the ‘coverage wallets’ come into play.Xtrabytes has taken the ‘Dex’ out of the Waves Dex in favor of centralization. The coins from all purchases made on Waves come from a centralized and controlled wallet that is controlled by Xtrabytes. They have deemed these wallets coverage wallets. In reality, these wallets belong to Borz, CCR (‘Dave’ or ‘Samuel’), and team members. This way allows them to finally dump their own coins onto the public, which they had been unable to do because of the Cryptopia shut down. It also allows them to dump all the XFuel they have accumulated, which they had not been able to do previously. Previously, you could only purchase XFuel with XBY. They would then turn around and sell for BTC on Cryptopia, while the person receiving XFuel could not sell it and would be holding a worthless coin, unless they were able to trade it for XBY to another community member. On the Waves platform, both coins are paired with BTC, ETH, LTC, and WAVES. So they are able to sell you their worthless coins in exchange for coins with actual value that they can turn around and sell for fiat.Aside from these points, Xtrabytes own DEx, XChange, was supposed to be nearly finished, per their own updates. Them listing on Waves proves that this is not the case. The time spent on developing Waves (which can be done very easily, had they not chose to centralize their client), could have been spent on XChange development. They chose to put both XChange and Xcite, their mobile wallet that was due out 2/10/2019 on the back burner in favor of developing Waves. This decision ensures they do not have to release either of those and gives them an excuse (in their own eyes) as to why the products are not released. It also keeps the lie going that they’re developing something and it’s just around the corner, as it always is for Xtrabytes, but never gets released. Dave has been giving patent updates with no real updates and no real real substance to them. The patent applications were supposed to be submitted by end of February/early March. We’re now at the end of March and they haven’t been submitted. That was just the most recent timetable, patent-pending status was initially said to be granted EOY17, Q1FY18, then mid-2018, then EOY18. Keep in mind, ‘Dave’ ran an MLM and part of his ‘marketing plan’ was to use patents in order to gain customers, sales, and credibility.I honestly would love to hear the team from Waves side of this story, though I know that’s unlikely.DO NOT BE FOOLED BY XTRABYTES AND INTO BUYING THE TEAMS COINS VIA WAVES! THIS WAS YET ANOTHER MOVE BY THE TEAM TO DUMP THEIR WORTHLESS COINS ON UNSUSPECTING BUYERS!!

Are you a business owner who accepts cryptocurrencies?

Most of the people I know tend to hold onto the cryptocurrencies they own. This seems to apply to most consumers as well. So the simple question is: Is it worth buying the hardware to start accepting cryptocurrencies (for brick and mortar stores who are going for a professional* image) or is it worth it to add it to your e-commerce store? What has been your experience so far? What currencies do you accept?Which currencies are consumers (your customers) willing to spend the most?

An Ecological Approach Towards Cryptocurrency Mining - REBGLO

Mining is an imperative aspect of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. It is the process that identifies, validates, and adds actions into blocks that will further form a Blockchain. Each miner within the mining process is offered the opportunity to solve the decrypted mathematical problem. The first participant who solves the problem obtains a place on the next block of the blockchain and receives rewarded in the form of cryptocurrency. The mining reward typically includes both transaction fees and the newly released cryptocurrency. The Inefficiencies Associated with Crypto-Currency MiningWith the right resource and skills, users have a high probability of earning high profits through cryptocurrency mining. However, certain factors of the crypto-mining process influence its profitability. These factors include:-During the cryptocurrency mining process, there is a significant loss of valuable data. The hash rates are adversely impacted by ineffective data reading and reconstruction. The superfluous consumption of electricity in one of the critical concerning areas of crypto-mining. Bitcoin mining alone is consuming approximately 20,000-gigawatt hours of electricity per year, that is 1% of the global electricity generation.REBGLO Project- Extending Eco-Friendly Crypto-Mining SolutionThe REBGLO Mining System offers effective solutions in order to optimize the cryptocurrency mining process, making it more profitable and safer for the environment. It extends software as well as a hardware solution, viz Data Transmission System and HETTARER.Data Transmission System (DTS)Data Transmission System is built to solve the issue with regards to the scalability of crypto-mining and subdue power consumption of the entire process. The efficiency of this software was tested, and the results revealed an increased mining process by 17.2% in hash/s.Using the conventional process, miners have to read out and restructure the recorded data numerous unoccupied spaces on the disc, making it an arduous process. DTS system in virtual cryptocurrency mining can help:-- Increase the Computing PerformanceIt collects the relevant data for processing on the main memory and amalgamates it with instruction parallelization in the crypto-mining process, thereby notably optimizing the operation performance.- Ameliorating Mining Speed and RevenueDTS system allows miners to obtain mining income at higher levels as compared to the combinations involving conventional mining software and mining computers.HETTARER TechnologyHETTARER is an electromagnetic sticker that gathers the elementary particles into a constitution state. These collected particles build a protective shield that combats the electromagnetic noise.HETTARER sticker was first developed in Japan and harnessed conductive paper that collects charged particles from electric currents emanating from the device and air naturally. The heat produced from the device’s battery boost the capabilities of these particles that reduces the charging time and boost the battery life. Moreover, HETTARER stickers have an average lifespan of 90 days and available for smartphones and other battery-operated gadgetsHETTARER Stickers Assisting Crypto-MiningHETTARER sticker is proven to lower the high frequency of electric devices by approximately 90%. The hack holds the potential to improve the process of crypto-mining when it is implemented on to crypto-mining rigs.REBGLO Project – Reinventing Cryptocurrency MiningREBGLO project works towards a vision to make crypto-mining environmental-friendly. Its vision is backed by the concept of ‘Reboot Globalization’ and ‘Reproduction and Globalization’. Further to accomplish its objective the team has developed hardware and software solutions that effectively solve the existing inefficiencies cryptocurrency mining and allows streamlined, safer, and effective mining experience.

Staking is coming to ICON: And with triple passive staking rewards.

Snippet: https://twitter.com/iconcm/status/1095532268255293440Voting for the P-REPS will be the first step and is coming end of summer. Even this is an outstanding residual income option for people who know how to run servers and want to help secure the ICON block chain. The percents for staking have not been specified yet, but I have heard 3-5% thrown around, with greater percents going to those who are P-REPS, create Dapps, or contribute to the ecosystem in some tangible way.Note: Technically this isn't "PASSIVE" staking. The ICON team has said they do not consider it "passive" because you must pay attention to where your coins are staked, and move them to other initiatives if one goes inactive, etc. (honestly very easy). But this encourages participation, unlike other projects where you do literally nothing and get money for it. Projects like those are not growing from their staking program. They're bleeding funds out to investors who do nothing. ICON will also reward more $ for participating in voting. They want you to be active in the ecosystem to generate rewards.

The Mtgox BTC, will cause a total gold rush for alts?

I myself was a Mtgox creditor, with over 100 BTC on the exchange. Can't decide if I'm happy with the decision, but back in 2017 I decided to accept a payout from an investment firm to buy out my claim and transfer ownership to them.I often think about what I'd do if I received the payout today-- the first thing I'd do is probably buy alt currencies like ETH, tokens, and stellar. The landscape has totally changed since 2013, back when bitcoin was pretty much the only thing worth holding. Nowadays I no longer believe that bitcoin is the cutting edge tech that will win out. Other platforms have far more interesting projects and use cases going on.I don't think I'm the only mtgox creditor who thinks this way either. As bunch of us are about to receive large payouts from long forgotten holdings. An easy swing from BTC to alts could be in store

I'm a animator/illustrator and thought it would be fun to animate different futuristic scenarios that are only possible because of crypto. It would be cool if you could help me with strange but possible scenarios in the far future. (Like with the early internet predicting Netflix or Social Media instead of the obvious things like email)I only got one interesting scenario at the moment from Andreas Antonopoulos:"So, imagine a self-driving car that can give passengers rides as a taxi, and using the bitcoin it earns, buy gasoline or electricity to maintain itself, and then also buy service and maintenance. Than the owner dies and the company disappears, but the cars continue (a self-running corporation) even perhaps lease more cars with the bitcoin profits they make, without any human owners."

You Asked for It: Fundamental Reasons for Crypto to Explode

No triangles or memes here but if we look at the graph that everyone knows, https://ift.tt/2HJW5Vz, I can tell you why I believe we are in the bear trap phase, and not the despair phase.Smart Money: People like you, me, friends/family we convinced to get in, whales (rich trust fund kids/hedge funds) that were "smart" to realize the potential of cryptos while Joe Shmo is just hearing of it and thinks its a scam or just too risky.Institutional Investors: The same week that bitcoin futures was launched is when the price of bitcoin popped and it all went downhill from there, putting us into the bear trap. We are still in the institutional phase and we just had a huge announcement to get us out of the bear trap, that being Fidelity is providing a platform for institutional investors. SEC rules require institutional investors to maintain their assets with a third-party “qualified custodian”. Before Fidelity, the only place that had this was coinbase and that was launched last summer, but no large institution is going to want to use coinbase, just type in coinbase in google and you will hear countless nightmare scenarios (flash crashes, servers crashing during the most crucial trading times, security issues, locked accounts, you name it). Just imagine how difficult it would be for an institution, let alone their clients, to trust Coinbase with millions if not billions of their dollars. Hell you can't even talk to someone over the phone with Coinbase (except for "unauthorized access to your account"). Fidelity is providing a trustful platform for them (tons already use fidelty, its the fifth largest investment company in the world and if its coming here, you can bet its coming to other places like vanguard and blackrock (experts are saying this as well). Another reason they wouldn't want to use Coinbase is for liquidity. Meaning they don't want to have their money in two different places. If they put it in Coinbase, they can only buy crypto with it, well these guys like to move their money around a lot and don't want to be tied to one type of asset. If everything is in one account they can do as they please.Public Phase: This is when crypto trading comes to places that most people already have access to like Charles Schwab, E-trade, fidelity (retail), and currently robinhood (after they just removed the waiting list in January 2019. Joe Shmo would be much more comfortable buying something from a place he has been using for years but also not having transfer money out of his investment account into another account (bigger deal than you think, its a big step transferring money into coinbase and a much bigger step putting money back into Coinbase after you removed it from there).China (not a significant reason and pretty speculative): Their HSI stock market index has been only increased 5% since 2015. The nasdaq 100 has increased by 65% in the same time. Investors in China are growing impatient and irritated by the stagnant market. To combat this (and to protect their money from their government) they have been buying up properties like crazy in the US and Canada over the past few years. However the housing market has also been stagnate for the past year. Couple this with the year of the pig (hear me out). The Chinese are VERY superstitious, ask any Chinese person that is actually from China. They don't even have 13th floors in their buildings because its an unlucky number (they just skip that floor number, you would be called stupid and insane here if you did that), they also don't want a house with the front door facing the street because then their "money will run away", and for 8888 yuan ($1,300) was a major resistance level for Bitcoin because the number 8 is considered their lucky number and they would sell at this price. The year of the pig symbolizes a year that brings great wealth, they will use this as a reason to invest (call me crazy, I don't care), but remember that the Chinese have 50% of the money in the world. We also know that China also has 80% of the bitcoin mining pools, and more importantly that 20% of the cypto volume comes from China.Japan: Their largest bank, MUFG, 5th largest in the world, is developing a cryptocurrency that can handle a million transactions a second. They need to have this in time for the 2020 Summer Olympics because Japan's current financial system won't be able to handle the volume of transactions they expect during the event. Also its a solution to the government's plan to go cashless by 2025. We know that 40% of the crypto trading volume comes from Japan and so if Japan replaces cash with cryptos or even just becomes part of the economy, well then we know what this means.Lastly here is a technical analysis showing that we have hit bottom because BTC used the 200 moving week average as a supporthttps://i.imgur.com/4gTu8fS.pngIf we really are in a bear trap, I speculate the price could go to $100,000 by the end of 2020.For those who want to follow me https://twitter.com/ScienceGuy9489

Where are they NOW? the 'bitcoin investor'.

Where are they NOW? The 'bitcoin investor'.https://i.redd.it/5ywzzhtp9fn21.pngIn November 2017, Perth was gripped by Bitcoin fever. Not one to miss out on a get rich quick scheme, Dawren made the ultimate sacrifice, he sold his Hi-Lux and bought 1 bitcoin for $7,300.In just one month, Dawren’s investment had reached an astronomical $19k, shit was about to get real. After telling all his supervisors to suck his dick in the crib room, Dawren quit his well paying FIFO gig to focus on being a cryptoboss.Being 100% sure the price of BTC would hit $50k in a few months, Dawren upgraded his lifestyle - he leased an entry-level Mercedes, he bought BCOIN007 personalised plates and a proudly rocked a 9ct gold chain from Zamels. He had it all.He was quick to embrace his new identity as a swaggering fuckhead that dished out unsolicited investment advice on social media, after all, he had climbed the beanstalk of financial freedom and he had slain the giant nagging doubt that this was all too good to be true.As several of his baby-mummas can testify to, Dawren was never one to pull out, and ultimately that would be his downfall. Instead of selling his crypto at the peaks of its value, he held onto it as desperately as Goerge Pell with a new bar of soap in the shower.By February 2018, he was back in the red, but repayments on an entry level Mercedes and an Afterpaid trip to Bali weren’t going to just disappear. So he channelled the spirit of the crypto-lord and did what they did best, bought $6000 worth of gear on the dark web.He went from the tattooed-foot investor to just a criminal overnight and used the illusion of his success to trick the dumbest cunts from his past life into giving him money to invest in more “crypto” (meth). Sure, he’d just let a crackhead suck him off to settle the money owing on a point, but they didn’t know that - all they saw was the glamour. As it turns out, he wasn’t very good at selling meth either, within 2months things went south for the former $10,000-aire, and after trying to flog an 8ball to an undercover officer at Rockingham station, Dawren landed himself a little stretch at Hotel Hakea. From "large and in charge" to "charged and convicted", he had a wild ride. When asked if Dawren had any regrets, he told us, “the meth, probably”.~ All credit to the amazing Bell Tower Times, Western Australia.

ClinicAll Revolutionizes the Healthcare Industry with Blockchain

https://ift.tt/2Y4n6Zw main principle of the healthcare industry is the provision of high-quality medical services to patients. However, the bureaucracy and federal regulations make health management fairly inefficient and lengthy. There is a big gap between providers of healthcare services and receivers, and every year, this gap becomes more immense due to the constant increase in the number of patients. This tendency leads to obstacles when healthcare providers are unable to store and manage large amounts of medical data, especially taking into account personal health data are scattered over different institutions and departments. As a result, required information is not accessible and available in case of emergency. The Benefits of Blockchain Technology For HealthcareThe Blockchain era in the healthcare sector has already begun. It has enough power to improve patient care quality and maintain the price of medical services at a reasonable rate. Blockchain opportunities for healthcare are abundant, and below, we cover the potential (and real) ways of using this technology both by healthcare providers and patients.Data security and integrityThe ongoing amount of medical data increases every day. Information managed by medical organizations includes patient health information (PHI), electronic health records, data collected from monitoring systems and medical insurance. Blockchain allows medical organizations to verify the correctness of data and store it safely. Due to the integrity property, the written information cannot be changed or removed. No other party has access to individual patient data.Health data of the populationPopulation health data refers to the medical information on a particular demographic. To understand the risks of certain diseases, it’s necessary to conduct an investigations where the numbers are usually received in an anonymized form. In many cases, personal health information is isolated and stored on multiple platforms. Due to this, the population health data becomes inaccurate or scattered. Blockchain solves this problem through operability, secure storage, data integrity, and it helps people monetize provided information via tokens.  Cryptocurrencies as a payment methodIn the future, patients can forget about paying with cash or by credit cards since the use of cryptocurrencies as payments is real with Blockchain. This not only simplifies the way of payment, but also increases the security level by eliminating frauds and expelling third parties from transactions.Traceability system for medicinesAs we mentioned above, healthcare organizations pay high costs for drug counterfeiting. According to a Health Research Funding Organization (HRFO) investigation, from 10 to 30 percent of drugs in developing countries are fake, causing serious consequences, including hundreds of deaths. The unique features of Blockchain help to ensure information in blocks is true and cannot be changed. The way of tracking drugs becomes easier and more trustworthy. However, the question of the reliability of the pharmaceutical products the companies provide is still open.Patient health information managementAccording to the regulations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, patients’ data should be private. Obviously, patients continue providing their personal information to doctors and pharmacists, but with the Blockchain apps, this process is more secure and convenient.Theoretically, a Blockchain system can create a patient ID. Undoubtedly, all information is safe, and at the same time, in case of emergency, doctors, patients and pharmacists have access to it. What is more, a patient can provide his/her personal information to third parties, keeping it unrevealed by controlling access permissions and duration.  These are the main but not all of the revolutionary benefits of using Blockchain in the healthcare industry. This technology is becoming more popular and widespread within different business sectors, and healthcare has just started moving toward blockchain revolution. As the practice shows, its steps are extremely firm and confident, and who knows, maybe Blockchain is our true hope for immortality and unshakable health. In the near future, we’ll also experience all the benefits the ClinicAll project provides to us via the blockchain implementations.  Visit https://clinicall.io/ to learn more about the project.

https://larrysanger.org/2019/01/how-im-locking-down-my-cyber-life/"Stop using Chrome. (Done.) Google collects massive amounts of information from us via their browser. The good news is that you don’t have to use it, if you’re one of the 62% of the people who do. I’ve been using Firefox; but I haven’t been happy about that. The Mozilla organization, which manages the browser, is evidently dominated by the Silicon Valley left; they forced out Brendan Eich, one of the creators of Firefox and the JavaScript programming language, for his political views. Frankly, I don’t trust them. I’ve switched to Eich’s newer browser, Brave. I’ve had a much better experience using it lately than I had when I first tried it a year or two ago and when it was still on the bleeding edge. Brave automatically blocks ads, trackers, third-party cookies, encrypts your connections—and, unlike Google, they don’t have a profile about you. It’s quite good and a pleasure to use. There might be a few rare issues (maybe connected with JavaScript), but when I suspect there’s a problem with the browser, I try whatever I’m trying to do in Firefox, which is now my fallback. There’s absolutely no need to use Chrome for anything but testing, and that’s only if you’re in Web development. By the way, the Brave iOS app is really nice, too."

The prize is currently over 3,216 REQ tokens. The Team prize is the new addition to the game. This prize is also located at a single coordinate, however, it’s coordinate changes every 24hrs. Binance Celer Network ICO seems shady - are there real people who got in?

I am frequent ICO buyer. I do this on profesional level and made my living with this (also i write as crypto journalist - trying to be moral and good person are my top priorities). So i tried celer network ico today. And it just seemed so shady. 5 lougouts in 5 first attempts. Then i got into queue which suddenly just diaspered without no reason. Exactly same thing happend to my friend. And than it was just over. There are plenty of ways how to do fair ICO - first come first serve is not one of them. There are lotteries, lower personal caps and many more possibilities. Yet binance decided to chose the worst possible way how to do it. It kinda screams shady all over the place. So i would love to ask you all if you know real people who got in?Thanks :)EDIT: Me and my friend did extensive search for anyone who got in - still no luck. Same in comments here. There were people there in 1sec and no one got in. I ll update this post if i find at least someone claiming she/he got celer.

The next bitcoin halvening is in 433 days. 1,800 new coins are currently mined every day. That will be cut to 900, creating a 1.8% inflation rate. Why does it matter? It marks the date when bitcoin becomes less inflationary than central banks annual rate target of 2%.

What’s the point of having a sub that’s this heavily manipulated and largely devoid of basic thought?

Anything that even seems slightly against crypto / isn’t moon lambos gets downvoted to oblivion very rapidly even in posts with 0 comments while some idiot who can’t calculate Vol and puts out misleading tweets gets upvoted to the front page? It’s completely embarrassing that the crypto community on Reddit is this brainless and afraid of facts and logic. This community used to be a place to debate and exchange ideas and learn how future problems would be overcome. Now it’s just hilariously empty of anything resembling worthwhile content.

XRP fake shill army uncovered - Social Media Sentiment influencing.

Here is the article:https://ift.tt/2CqOqbk, the "fake" "people" responded after this article was published, but it isn't so far fetched to think that people beyond this fake army are controlling them. It's delusional and crazy, how far this goes. Take for example a quote from a video posted by a xrpguy:Going from hour to hour, each day, with endorphins flooding your body, knowing that you’re holding on to this tremendous asset which is going to have a huge payoff… it’s surreal, holding XRP… it feels like I’m living in a dream. It sounds like he is on the wrong kind of drugs...Furthermore, the same person shared his selling targets for XRP. He sells his first 12.5% xrp when it hits 10 dollar. Thats worth alot more then the total current cap of GOLD! And he also has sell targets for when XRP hits 500 dollar....Social media is a scary place. Very large whales or *shrug* maybe ripple themselfs, could fund these things easily and try to turn the market sentiment to be positive regarding XRP. It happens everywhere already, with people shilling their favorite coins, but never have i seen it scaled like this.DYOR, do NOT get influenced by media. Also not by this article. And also realise that XRP made hunderds of millions by selling their tokens to you in 2018. And they still own more then the whole current available supply.
