I lost everything in my sleep

I woke up this morning realizing that I just lost all of my hard earned money and savings in about 2 hours. Someone got access to my private key (or at least I think so) and everything was gone. Somehow he/she knew what to go for first, took everything from there. Went into every single other platform that I use and withdrew everything. I don't even recall having my private key saved somewhere or posting it online. How did I get hacked? Who do I talk to? Whats stupider is that I am a student with loans and now all my funds are gone. I know there is an almost 0% chance to get my funds back but I just need to know how do I recover from this. I am in so much shock that I literally can't think straight. Help.

This is the healthiest 11k bitcoin has ever seen.

Bubbles happen when people are on a buying spree and the price of the asset keeps rising higher because no one is selling, but when you start to run low on buyers, the people finally decide to sell it happens all at once and you enter nasty long term bear markets. That is the story of 2017 and 2019.Going up slow, letting the old people who bought in earlier distribute to the new people accumulating at new price levels is the healthiest way to lock in the gains. Earlier today there was tens millions of dollars worth of coins dumped on the market today, but the price barely went down because it was bought up. That was a very healthy sign for bitcoin.

Submitted July 28, 2020 at 09:35AM

Let's say BTC truly takes off, even surpassing 20k, when will altcoins follow?

So I'm someone who owned BTC in 2014 [only like 0.2] and ended up gambling it and loosing touch with crypto until earlier this year [so basically I missed the 2017 bull run].So with that being said when do you think we'll see the altcoins begin if BTC truly blows off like it did in 2017? going even higher than 20k? Was there a delay between BTC going up and alts following last time?At this rate with gold and silver already blowing off I believe it is inevitable we'll see a mass migration of people coming soon, the first to be hit are of course the most known, being silver and gold and the only next place for bull to run towards is crypto, which has started with BTC.

So, you want to get into crypto. Which coins should you buy?

So, you want to get into crypto? Which coins should you buy?The five major fiat currencies in the world are USD, EUR, YEN, CHF, GBP. These account for almost all the world’s international trade. In many parts of the world one or more of these currencies are readily accepted, even if the local currency is mandated by the government.According to Coinmarketcap, there are 5787 cryptocurrencies and tradable tokens out there. Quite a few are jokes or scams. Some have been abandoned by their developers. Many have so few users and so little trade that they can barely be said to exist at all. At most, only a tiny handful, maybe only one or two, could ever possibly succeed. How should a newcomer choose?Let’s start with some basics: what is your aim here? Do you want to make some money? Or are you “in it for the technology”? Rule one: be clear about why you’re getting in. In other words, what do you want to get out of this? Be super clear about your exit strategy, whatever it may be. And stick to it.Next, risk: Crypto is a new and highly risky asset class. Out of 5800 coins, most of them (and possibly all of them) will go to zero. How would you feel if your stake was gone—really gone—lost forever? Do not put in more than you are prepared to lose. But prices are rising along with the animal spirits. You want in. Which coin should you buy?If making some money is your aim, then perhaps the central consideration is liquidity. If you don’t understand what the word liquidity means in the financial context, take 30 minutes and find out. In short, imagine you decide to sell your car – at the exact same time that most people with your model are selling theirs too. Lots of competition and relatively few buyers = low price. Or let’s say you want to buy a house in a particular (and popular) neighborhood, but there’s only one property for sale. The seller can name their price. Poor liquidity means you pay too much for something on the way in, and you sell it too cheap on the way out. While you’re researching liquidity, look up the notion of opportunity cost too. This is the idea that when we spend money on X we cannot then spend that same money on anything else. Which assets are you not investing in? Could there be a better bet? There is also the so-called founders’ effect, and the concept of the evolutionarily stable strategy, not to mention any number of cognitive biases to watch out for.Cut to the chase: a large fraction, at least, of your investment should be in those coins with the best liquidity—Bitcoin and Ethereum. Together these two coins account for the vast majority of all crypto trading and liquidity provision (excluding stablecoins, which do not appreciate). No matter how brilliant you think other systems might be (and a few really are), they are very, very unlikely to unseat either Bitcoin or Ethereum. If you’re savvy and skillful (and lucky) you might do well trading minor coins, which can have very high price volatility, but remember that most traders lose money. The biggest wins are almost always made by those who buy and hold, and who cash out at a pre-determined point. Finally, take your time, listen to some old hands, and ask questions here, especially if you suspect a scam. There are some really great people on this board (some of whom will disagree with at least some of what I’ve just written). A diversity of honest and experienced opinion can only help you. I would also recommend the Youtube channels of Benjamin Cohen https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRvqjQPSeaWn-uEx-w0XOIg and Andreas Antonopoulos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJWCJCWOxBYSi5DhCieLOLQ as a start. Can we discuss "Be your own bank" and why it will never happen full scale?

One of the biggest pro arguments about crypto is "be your own bank", meaning you should be in charge of your funds and nobody should be able to stop you from your decisions. According to this post there is no reason for people to have so much power over their finance.https://ift.tt/39v31BL centralized institutions saved more than 1000 people from their stupidity. While 1000 seams not a lot of people in the world, we still have mostly people in the space that are tech savy. So this number can only go up if we would ever reach world wide adoption. But lets assume there is a law or some event happening and everybody in the world has to use a crypto wallet for their finances. Do you think people, especially older ones, would be comfortable with all their life savings on hand? One bad decision or error and all gone. One bad actor scamming or mugging them. And in a blink of an eye all gone? What do you think about this?

For the investors out there, what percentage of your porftolio is in crypto?

Hello!Looking for general consensus on what you believe the general percentage an investor should have in crypto.I would assume many of us are investors and have money in other markets. Articles indicate crypto should be anywhere from 1-10% of a diversified investors portfolio. Where do you sit?I generally believe 5% is enough but with the technological advancements of blockchain, perhaps this number should be higher?Edit: Thank you for the replies so far! Its hard to get a gauge because a lot of crypto media is an echo chamber. On the other end, traditional investment forums scoff at crypto in rememberance of the 2017 pump.

To the people who think tribalism and complexity is holding crypto back

First I'll address the arguement that toxic tribalism is stopping crypto from going mainstream.Ask an android user what they think of appleAsk a Playstation user what they think of XboxAsk a PC gamer what they think of consolesAsk a Linux user what they think of windowsAsk a Reddit user what they think of FacebookAsk a "the last of us" fan what they of "the last of us two"This list literally goes on for an eternity. The problem has nothing to do with crypto, it's just people in general feel the need to defend their choices. There's no need to worry about it holding us back from any progress in the future.Second I'll address the arguement that crypto is too complicated for mainstream.Crypto addresses look complex the first time you see one. But remember this is 1 string of letters and numbers you need to copy and paste.Bank cards have:An account numberA sort codeA card numberExpiry datesSecurity codeAnd recently a online passcode to authenticate the purchase. The only reason you no longer see traditional banking as complicated, is because you have used it so many times it no longer confuses you.If you've ever used a decentralised app with metamask. You'll know what I mean when I say, it's so much easier to use than having to log in to a centralised service. You can make a trade on uniswap within 10 seconds of opening your laptop.ConclusionThere isn't one, just stop being negative.

Why do we criticize central banks when they print money out of thin air while the #3 cryptocurrency by market cap is essentially doing the same thing?

Is it hypocritical, naive, tribalism, plain ignorance, acceptance or reality or am I missing something about the Tether and this market overal? This has bothered me for a while now. I know there are much more alternatives lately which is great and all but tether is still by far the giant out there.

Due diligence process for investing in Crypto

Here are the basics I gotDoes it have a website? I mean this is a pretty obvious one. You can tell straight away if something is offRead the whitepaper. Big words and empty promises are red flags. Does this stuff make sense?Figure out who the developers are. What's their background, how experienced are they? Are they even real?Is there a github? We can actually see the project and if they are actually working on it. Does the code make sense?Think about uses cases and how big the potential market is. Who are the biggest competitors? Important: The biggest competitors are very rarely other coins, but actual real world companiesDo they have contact points? Is there a Telegram or Discord group that can offer transparency on whats going on?Is success of the product behind the coin tied to an increase of the coins value? What else needs to be done?Edit: Be careful if they are overusing trendy buzzwords like Defi or deflationary. I’m currently using CashApp for my purchases, which has around a 3% fee for purchasing and immediate ability to withdrawal. However, it only lets me buy BTC, so I have to take the fees/time to convert that to another currency. Are there any exchanges that have similar/lower fees as CashApp, and also allow for immediate withdrawals of funds? The ability to buy other currencies (ideally USDC/USDT) would be nice as well.

What's the argument? Do you think we have over $11 Billion sitting on the sidelines ready to pump the markets?

TIL Satoshi left scrapes of poker functionality in the Bitcoin Core in the 2009

Today I stumbled upon a weird functionality in the uibase.cpp file in an old bitcoin node file I was reading for fun, Satoshi had written scrapes of GUI functionality for a poker game in the early version of Bitcoin 0.1.3 and maybe a little earlier/later (didn't actually check that deep). If Satoshi was planing an experiment with op codes for provably fair poker game in the very Bitcoin node (what an exciting thought lol, would actually download the entire blockchain), we may never know as I did not find a lot of info regarding this decision hidden in plain sight. The code applies only to the GUI dialog and is referenced in the uibase.h, uibase.cpp and uiproject.fbp.As an unnecesary discovery this is, I actually thought this is a pretty neat fact I did not find anywhere else. Also, as I am making my own private DPOS decentralized network, I think that this is a neat idea I could put in. Although I admit that this idea was almost certainly created long time ago when smart contracts were introduced.

Let's discuss Swipe (SXP)

What is Swipe?Swipe has developed a debit card and wallet platform that gives users access to spend various cryptocurrencies in fiat currencies on-demand.The crypto-fiat conversion can be done in a few seconds. Swipe aims to make crypto finance mainstream by connecting existing payment networks to cryptocurrencies.Swipe allows users to deposit crypto into their Swipe Wallets, which give instant access to spend those funds in fiat currencies, while using traditional Visa debit cards. How does Swipe work?Swipe Network consists of 3 protocols that operate the network in an asynchronous format:Swipe Card: A Visa debit card that enables cardholders to spend balances that are linked to the Swipe Wallet mobile application.Swipe Wallet: A digital wallet application that enables users to buy, sell, spend, and more with their cryptocurrencies.Swipe Smart-Contracts: These delegated smart contracts are given to users within the Swipe Network and execute certain actions using its native SXP token. While the Swipe Network is the core of the Swipe ecosystem of products, it’s important to note that the Swipe Network requires all 3 components to operate as designed today on-chain. However, the other Swipe products, such as Swipe Wallet and Swipe Card, can function independently with the Swipe Network off-chain.In a future version, the Swipe Network on-chain process will be governed by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and will utilize a proof-of-stake consensus method to secure the platform. This system will be secured via SXP staked on a smart-contract within the network that offers incentives, such as a transaction fees for validating transactions on-chain.Why I believe it's a good idea to invest into Swipe?Simple:Extremely low market cap (50x lower (80 million) than their competitor crypto.com (2.5 billion));Working product that is extremely user friendly; Not using Wirecard as their card issuer;Binance listed only like a week ago; Will be used by the largest exchange in the world Binance as their card provider;Marketed extensively by CZ;Very active team (check out their blog or twitter). For further research go here: https://ift.tt/2ChLZLu

Sleeping on iExec RLC? This is the post you want to read.

$90,985,587 market cap with a circulating supply of 70,233,546 / 86,999,784What is iExec and what does it do? The iexec marketplace is a decentralized cloud, the only of its kind, on the blockchain. Having collaborated with Intel and Google, and in the Cloud Computing Consortium with IBM, Intel, Google, Huawei, Nvidia, and many more, iExec utilizes the blockchain to create a decentralized cloud whose computing power anyone can access, with a single gasless transaction. This decentralized cloud can tie in together the cloud of every modern tech giant and allow them to pool computing power and safely and privately exchange data. This method of cloud computing is not only the birth of the world's first supercomputer, but is cost effective for tech giants to use. RLC is the native token used to run a worker and stake RLC or pay for computing power on the iexec cloud. Another tech giant is joining (rumored to be Amazon) this month, and iexec will be discussing their new V5 cloud computing tools as DeFi assets alongside Chainlink and Microsoft at the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance this month. This is not a drill. This is the most important post you've ever read pertaining to your financial freedom. RLC just broke longterm key resistance at $1.30 and is forming support as you read this. It is still not listed on Coinbase and only 750k tokens (digital oil) remain on Binance. RLC also offers 5G solutions for Smart Cities as demonstrated in their collaboration with Intel last year. This is not a drill.

What the recent Twitter hack really showed is that nobody cares about Bitcoin

Volatility remained low and no majour price moves occured, in any direction. A few debates popped up whether the incident would be considered negative or positive for Bitcoin. At the end, it didn't matter. Maxi bagholders kept holding, newbies and nocoiners didn't blink an eye.I'm only mentioning price because that's the only thing people care about when it comes to BTC. There's nothing else to talk about anyways. No noteworthy L1 development, even less L2 progression, adoption is at the same level it's been for years - photos of number plates and ATM sightings.Blockchain technology is progressing at an incredible rate. Innovation, no - evolution, is happening right under people's noses. But little of it has anything to do with Bitcoin.

I feel as though gold and other PMs may certainly retain, and even increase, in value if fiat money is completely phased out. While I like the idea of everything going digital, I dislike the idea of governments abusing such power. What do you guys think?

I really can't see the letters KYC combined anymore and left with 0 tolerance for any entity asking me for ID and selfies. its frustrating that even when given options for more freedom like decenterlised exhcanges or decetnerlised USD pegged coins people still choose to be controlled. so this question might be obvious to some but I'm sure it can help others as myself that tries to break free :)

Almost a 1000 Tezos users delegated to Binance and Kraken directly and will not get staking rewards

To participate in the staking of the exchange, you need to register, pass KYC, and actually store funds on the exchange. Technically, nothing prevents you from delegating Tezos from your personal wallet to any validator, including the Exchange. Most wallets do not warn that Exchanges are custodial staking services and allow users to delegate Tezos from their personal wallets without seams. The problem is that users who delegated to exchanges directly from their wallet will never receive their staking rewards since they do not store their funds on the exchange.Read the full research

So, my brother and I made a bet after the rise and fall of the 2017 BTC boom. I told him within 3 years we will see the 20k barrier again and cross. He’s a no-coiner for sure and thinks its another case of the tulip frenzies.Well, we have another 7-8 months (March 2021) before I lose this bet. If it does not cross by $1 over $20k.The winner gets to pick a street corner for the loser to hold a sign displaying whatever the winner writes for 1 hour.At this point, I wonder if its going to be achievable. What are your thoughts?

Got sim swapped yesterday - Binance saved me

Out of all the days, yesterday I left my phone at home when I went to work. I was emailing my gf since I didnt have my phone and I noticed that I stopped seeing her emaisl come through. I then noticed that they were in the trash. I thought I had maybe did it by accident not thinking anything. I got home later and saw a txt on my phone from my provider saying that I have activated a new sim. Instant panic mode. I called and stopped the new sim, checked my binance and saw a very decent withdrawal. Luckily Binance noticed the unusual activity and stopped it.I checked all my accounts, changed passwords etc. Nothing else seems compromised to my knowledge. For those wondering, I have wallets on my desktop with crypto in them but I also keep some on Binance for trading. Im so glad Binance has good security which I why I chose their exchange in the first place. I still feel sick but als omore sick that my crypto is going to be held there for 7 days while my account is in recovery(hoping to avoid a market crash during this)

Because they can just use credit cards. I'm open to any and all crypto currency. The problem I have is that the only way I have to sell my music at the moment is Bandcamp. They only seem to accept USD (I'm from the states)Is my only way of receiving any sort of crypto currency for my music is to create a stand alone website?Sorry for the probably incorrect way of using the flair. Didn't see another one that fit. Also another unrelated question. Does anyone have a suggestion for long-term investment as far as what crypto I could see being something that in your opinion would be safe to invest in for the long term?Edit: I wouldn't care how much of any crypto someone offered for my music.

A warning on Chainlink before you buy

Listen. Its hard as shit to get ahead in life now, not just working 9-5 for the rest of your life .The sooner you start investing in the right items, the sooner you will be better off.Chainlink is a meme started by 4chan to lead people to financial ruin. Don't let your saved wealth be thrown away over night.Vitalik the creator of ethereum said himself the days of making x1000 or x10000 are over, that right the guy who created the second most popular crypto said those days are over. Now 4chan is trying to get people to lose even more money after the 2018 bloodbath. Chainlink is a specialized collection of Oracles, companies don't need this. They will just create their own private blockchains with Link network(token not needed). Sergey himself already said that LINK tokens arent needed to use the network. thats right. it's still unclear when and how the LINK token will be used if private networks are an option, and not to mention the massive allocation of LINK not locked up but in dev control (2/3 of supply). There is no need for tokens if chainlink isn't even needed to run the nodes.Think XRP when you think chainlink. The company ripple (smartcontract.com) is doing well but the coin XRP(chainlink) isn't needed for the companies technology. Considering what Vitalik said "The days of x1000 or x10000 returns are over." Chainlink needs a 35000% increase in price over the next months to reach $1000 this is ludicrous. Don't fall for it, chainlink its a meme to fuck you over. This is a 4chan meme to siphon money out of the hands of the already vulnerable. Please be careful with your money. there is a common pattern of heavy shilling when this pumps, and after early 4chan whales have sold, silence for months. generally, this happens 1-2 times a year. You may wonder why it's shilled so hard? its to create artificial demand. You have no idea how many 4channers scooped this up early, when absolutely NOBODY else was interested in it. while it was at dirt cheap prices. They simply take advantage of up coming news and pump/dump with their massive holdings. It's a meme that got out of control. It's also why the "10k make it stack" meme is shilled so heavily. they want people to accumulate while it goes up and they dump on you, telling people to simply just buy Link wont create enough volume for them to dump it. pushing this 10k meme ensures people dont just buy, but continuously buy, and drop their wages in with regularity so these scammers can slowly cash out.

The Bank of England is reviewing whether it should create a central bank-backed digital currency, according to British central banker & Governor of the Bank of England Andrew Bailey.

Central bank are getting on board. What does this mean for the future of already established digital currency like Bitcoin and Etherum.More competition? More visibility? More money invested? The news comes after UK saw a big spike in crypto currency demands. As of 2020, there is an estimated 2.6m users of digital currencies in the UK compared with 1.5m same time last year.At the start of the year, the BoE joined an international working group of central banks exploring the potential of state-administered digital currencies. Other partners were The Bank of Canada, Bank of Japan, European central bank, Sveriges Riksbank of Sweden Swiss national Bank and Bank for International Settlements. Are they a direct threat to CryptoCurrency currently used? It defies the very core principle of having a decentralized currency.

$1,000 invested in Top 10 Cryptos of 2019 now worth $1,260 (UP +26%)

EXPERIMENT - Tracking Top 10 Cryptos of 2019 - Month Eighteen - UP +26%See the full blog post with all the tables here.tl;dr - Tether (as it's designed to do) holds its ground, all others finish the month in negative territory. Tron finishes June in second place, down -2%. BSV loses nearly 25% of value in June. Overall, since January 2019, BTC in lead, ETH takes over second place, XRP still worst performing. The 2019 Top 10 is up +26% almost equal to the the gains of the S&P 500 over the same time period (+24%).Month Eighteen – UP 26%Not a great month for the 2019 Top TenAfter a strong April and a mixed May, June was bloody for the 2019 Top Ten Cryptos. Stablecoin Tether was the only crypto to hold its ground, as it was designed to do.Question of the month:According to a June article citing unnamed sources, which two FinTech companies are planning to allow their users to buy and sell crypto directly?A) Paypal and VenmoB) Square and CashappC) Robinhood and RevolutD) Sofi and CoinbaseScroll down for the answer.Ranking and June Winners and LosersXRP and Stellar slipped one place each in the rankings in June, now at #4 and #14 respectively. EOS fell two spots to #11 and joins Stellar and Tron as the only three cryptos to have dropped out of the 2019 Top Ten since January 1st, 2019. They have been replaced by Binance Coin, Cardano, and newcomer CRO.Tether was the only crypto to move up in rank in June. Not a good sign when Tether is the only crypto to move up.Not a good sign when Tether enters the Top 3.June Winners – Tether. Second comes Tron, which basically held its ground at -2%.June Losers – BSV lost -23% of its value in June making it the worst performing of the 2019 Top Ten portfolio. EOS had a rough month as well, down -17%, dropping two spots in the rankings, and falling out of the Top Ten.If you’re keeping score, here is tally of which coins have the most monthly wins and loses during the first 18 months of the 2019 Top Ten Experiment: Tether is still in the lead with six monthly victories followed by BSV in second place with three.  BSV also holds the most monthly losses, finishing last in seven out of eighteen months. The only crypto not to win a month so far? XRP. (In fairness, XRP has also not lost any month yet).Overall update – BTC in lead, ETH takes over second place, XRP still worst performing BTC is out front for the second straight month and ETH has taken over second place from BSV. Ahead until April, BSV has simply not keep up with the pack over the last two months. Bitcoin is up +144% since January 2019. The initial $100 investment in BTC is currently worth $249.Eighteen months in, 50% of the 2019 Top Ten cryptos are in the green since the beginning of the experiment. The other five cryptos are either flat or in negative territory, including last place XRP (down -50% since January 2019).Total Market Cap for the entire cryptocurrency sector:The crypto market as a whole is down about $20B in June, but still up +106% since January 2019.Bitcoin dominance:BitDom finally wobbled in June, but not by much – it’s been in a very familiar zone for months now, indicating a lack of excitement (or at least a low risk tolerance) for altcoins. Taking a wider view, the Bitcoin Dominance range since the beginning of the experiment in January 2019 has ranged between 50%-70%.Overall return on investment since January 1st, 2019:The 2019 Top Ten Portfolio lost almost $175 in June. After the initial $1000 investment, the 2019 group of Top Ten cryptos is worth $1,259. That’s up about +26%. Here’s a look at the ROI over the life of the first 18 months of the 2019 Top Ten Index Fund experiment, month by month:18 months of ROI, mostly greenUnlike the completely red table you’ll see in the 2018 Top Ten Experiment, the 2019 crypto table is almost all green. The first month was the lowest point (-9%), and the highest point (+114%) was May 2019.How does the 2019 Top Ten Index Fund Portfolio compare to the parallel projects?2018 Top Ten Experiment: down -81% ($187)2020 Top Ten Experiment: up +26.3% ($1,264)Taking the three portfolios together, here’s the bottom bottom bottom line: After a $3000 investment in the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Top Ten Cryptocurrencies, the combined portfolios are worth $2,710‬.That’s down about -10% for the three combined portfolios. Last month that figure was +4%. Better than a few months ago (aka the zombie apocalypse) where it was down -24%, but not yet back at January (+13%) or February (+6%) levels. Here’s a new table to help visualize the progress of the combined portfolios:ROI of all three combined portfolios - not exactly inspiringHow do crypto returns compare to traditional markets?Comparison to S&P 500:Good thing I’m tracking the S&P 500 as part of my experiment to have a comparison point with other popular investments options. Even with unemployment, protests, and COVID, the US market continued to rebound in June. It’s now up +24% in the last 18 months. The initial $1k investment I put into crypto would be worth $1,240 had it been redirected to the S&P 500 in January 2019.As a reminder (or just scroll up) the 2019 Top Ten portfolio is returning +26% over last 18 months, just about equal to the return of the S&P 500 over the same time period. Just last month the ROI of the 2019 Top Ten crypto portfolio was nearly double the S&P 500 since January 1st, 2019.But what if I took the same world’s-slowest-dollar-cost-averaging/$1,000-per-year-in-January approach with the S&P 500? It would yield the following:$1000 investment in S&P 500 on January 1st, 2018: +$170$1000 investment in S&P 500 on January 1st, 2019: +$240$1000 investment in S&P 500 on January 1st, 2020: -$40Taken together, here’s the bottom bottom bottom line for a similar approach with the S&P: After three $1,000 investments into an S&P 500 index fund in January 2018, 2019, and 2020, my portfolio would be worth $3,370.That $3,370 is up over+12% since January 2018, compared to the $2,710 value (-10%) of the combined Top Ten Crypto Experiment Portfolios. Here’s another new table that compares the ROI of the combined crypto portfolios to a hypothetical similar approach with the S&P 500:We see in June the largest difference in favor of the S&P since the beginning of 2020: a 22% gap. Compare that February, when there was only a 1% difference in ROI.Implications/Observations:Since January 2019, the crypto market as a whole has gained +106% compared to the 2019 Top Ten Crypto Portfolio which has gained +26%. That’s an 80% gap.At this point in the 2019 Experiment, an investor would have done much better picking different cryptos or investing in the entire market instead of focusing only on the 2019 Top Ten. Over the course of the first 18 months of tracking the 2019 Top Ten, there have been instances this was a winning strategy, but the cases have been few and far between.The 2018 Top Ten portfolio, on the other hand, has never outperformed the overall market, at least not in the first thirty months of that Experiment. And for the most recent 2020 Top Ten group? The opposite had been true: the 2020 Top Ten had easily outperformed the overall market 100% of the time…up until the last two months. Conclusion:As the world continues to battle COVID, traditional markets seem to be recovering. Will crypto make a significant move in the second half of 2020?Final word: Stay safe and take care of each other. Thanks for reading and for supporting the experiment. I hope you’ve found it helpful. I continue to be committed to seeing this process through and reporting along the way. Feel free to reach out with any questions and stay tuned for progress reports. Keep an eye out for the original 2018 Top Ten Crypto Index Fund Experiment and the recently launched 2020 Top Ten Experiment. And the Answer is…A) Paypal and VenmoAccording to a Coindesk report in June, three sources familiar with the matter say that Paypal and Paypal-owned Venmo are planning to allow their users to buy and sell crypto. Paypal has declined to comment.

Trillions of dollars injected into the markets by the Feds every single day... and you mean to tell me the entire market cap of the crypto space stayed the same...

Title says it all. I am in absolute disgust with the amount of money the Fed is printing every damn day just to feed the shadow banking system and remedy their shortfalls from preventing a widespread virus worldwide and you mean to tell me that the market cap of all cryptocurrencies stayed the same.I’m not sure if this is manipulation or just pure lack of adoption but it sure as hell looks like this wasn’t what cryptocurrencies were supposed to do. It was SUPPOSED to eradicate the world of poverty. It was SUPPOSED to prevent deglobalization (especially in times like right now). It was SUPPOSED to create a free form of transaction across borders. Now all of a sudden the US equities market is swinging higher and faster, yet cryptocurrencies did absolutely nothing.Where the hell is the spirit of encouraging adoption or is everybody so busy with their own tribalism of their own bags that they fail to see what the big picture was all about to begin with? All these mass protests and revolts are taking place yet we still haven’t rid ourselves of the worthless fiat we were set to abolishing. This is crypto’s perfect moment to shine, yet, it hasn’t done anything.

Dive exchange

Hello! Our team at Dive exchange (dive.exchange) is working on a next generation cryptocurrency exchange, based on an automatic market maker protocol. This is similar to the Uniswap exchange, allowing for market makers to easily earn interest with their existing cryptocurrency holdings by providing liquidity on so-called pools. Our exchange would have extra benefits of enabling trading between different blockchains with no transaction fees and lower trading fees.We would appreciate you taking a look at our web page dive.exchange and casting a vote on our google form to decide which assets and pools we include first.Any feedback is appreciated!

New Moons Distribution (Round 2 Proposal)

Moons are r/CryptoCurrency's version of Community Points. Community Points are a way for users to be rewarded for their contributions to the subreddit, and they can be used on premium features in the community.Moons are distributed every 4 weeks based on contributions people make to r/CryptoCurrency. For every distribution, Reddit publishes karma data as a default measure of contribution. The community can review the data and optionally propose an alternative distribution, if they wish. Here is the karma data for this round. To propose an alternative distribution:Create a CSV with alternative contribution scores. Use the same format as the CSV linked here. The amount of Moons distributed to a user will be proportional to their contribution score. Contribution scores cannot be negative.Make a poll to have the community vote on your proposal. Link to the CSV from your post, and include an accurate description of the changes you are proposing. If the poll meets quorum (20% of Moons need to vote in it) and passes (according to the weighted results), the new list becomes the official contribution values (unless there is eveidence of abuse in the vote, such as bribery). In case of multiple polls passing, the one with the most Moons cast in favor will be the official one.If no alternative passes, the data provided here will become official. The contribution scores for this round will be finalized on 2020-07-15. Any poll proposing an alternative needs to be completed by then. After the scores are finalized, Reddit will sign the data and publish the final, official data. After that, people will be able to claim their Moons through the Vault in the Reddit mobile app.
