Need help recovering BTC and ETH wallets from outdated apps

So I'm fully willing to accept this might be a lost cause, but I'm looking to buy a house and could use all the money I can find for a down payment. Worth a shot! So, I bought BTC and ETH around 2017 and held onto it after BTC crashed from like $20k or something.BTC was in AirBitz which now gives me a connection error every time I try to log in. AirBitz has upgraded to Edge but I don't know how to connect the two if I can't even read my own wallet's details. I'm not optimistic about recovering my BTC, however I do have my security questions/answers for AirBitz for whatever that's worth at this pointETH was in Block Wallet (or My Block Wallet, orange Portal-esque wallet logo) which was also giving me connection errors but I was able to get the information about my wallet like the long alphanumeric code and the secret recovery phrase.EDIT: Per this link, ETH private keys (the long alphanumeric string?) shouldn't begin with 0x, but mine does. What does this mean? I still get "Import Key Failed - Invalid Input" when removing the 0x.I tried some searching and can't really figure out what goes where because I don't remember any of the terms. I tried putting in my ETH information into Edge but it didn't take the alphanumeric code as the private key (?).Are these recoverable, and how? Thanks in advance! Sorry for being such a newbie.

Checkmate on Twitter:Bitcoin is pretty much on track following 2013-2017 market cycle since ATH. If history repeats, we will be attacking ATH in circa 300-days. If we get there faster, it would suggest cycles are not necessarily getting 'longer', instead Bitcoin walks its own macro + micro walk.

Moving to exchange

Hello. I have a cold stored BTC wallet. Now im thinking of moving it to an exchange to sell. But im facing with 13$ fee for $80 of BTC which is ridiculous, as it has always been. As far as i know i cant get it out of my wallet without paying some kind of fee. Am i right? Is there any way of doing it any more cheaply online?

The new ICOs?

We are now seeing the ICOs of the new decade, it's no longer self-made projects grab money from investors to then let them fail and close shop, now we have big money getting involved, the banks, and governments trying to get their piece of the cake. That is BloxRoute (to name one) looks like to me, a new project launched for a private company to do that same that they've always, but now with blockchain, the problem is that they will have full control (in time), so what is the point of using them instead of a regular private network? They aren't trying to solve the economic problems and the vulnerabilities in the blockchain tech, their "solution" is only something momentary, and it only serves THEIR needs.Banks must be eager as well to jump in and use their reputation to keep using their customer money as theirs.

Can't Tether be forced to be Audited?

In the U.S - if there's a small suspicion of manipulating stockmarket, inside trading, ponzy schemes or such, the FBI and SEC are all over it in a secondEveryone in the crypto world rightfully suspect that Tether is not fully backed and manipulates the crypto market.90% of Tether's terms of service is saying that "investors" should know their money is in constant risk and they are not to be blamed whatever happens.Millions of U.S citizens and worldwide users hold and use USDT and the day this house of cards fails, these users will be left with 0$ and their money basically stolen + there will be an earthquake in the crypto world that will affect everyone since its the 3rd most traded asset and one of the only ways people use to trade BTC / ETH.With all that information known to all, Tether refuse to be officially audited  and probably there is a reason for that.being a online hero knowing something bad going to happen is not enough, we as a large community might have the power to do something about itI don't know logistically how it can be done but this subreddit alone have 1 Million members, can't we all sign some online petition and contact relevant U.S authorities with this concern so maybe for once authorities will work in our favor and check / investigate / force Tether to be audited to verify if they do or do not have this money backed before everything blows up in our faces?

During my time getting to know the cryptocurrency communities I have made a major discovery. The deeper you go into the crypto rabbit hole, the more of a self entitled asshole you become with unrealistic visions of being richer than everyone elseYou're not better than other people because you invest in cryptocurrencies, in fact it seems to be having the opposite effect on the community as a whole

An In-Depth Guide to: How do I Fix my Ledger Nano’s Stuck Ethereum Transaction?!?!?! (It’s Been Stuck for Weeks and NOTHING Traditional has Worked!!!!) As Well as: How Do I Choose My Nonce??? I’ve Tried MetaMask, MEW/MyEtherWallet, and Others, but Nothing is Working Correctly!!! I’m Dying by Stress!

So, if you were like me 1-2 months ago, you’ve probably already gone through 2,or 3, ...or 40 articles and guides that probably say something like:“YeP, eVeRy EtHeReUm UsEr WiLl EvEnTuAlLy HaVe ThE LoW-gAs ExPeRiEnCe, YoU’rE nOt AlOnE! DoN’t FrEaK OuT tHoUgH; ThErE iS a WaY tO fIx It!”Chances are, every time you read another useless article, you want to kill the nearest inanimate object, even though it was never alive in the first place. Nonetheless, you’re gonna kill it as much as it can be killed, holding nothing back; or, you’re just plotting to and slowly getting closer to executing the plan (and the object) every time you are insulted once again. However, if you have the ability to download software (MyCryptoWallet) on a PC, it should be safe to relax now. I think you’ve finally found some good news, because I am 99.99...% sure this will work for the issue that so many people are having at this time, around the end of the month of May, year 2020.More and more people are likely to be having this issue soon, since Ethereum's gas prices have been insanely high lately as well as having 300% price changes in a matter of minutes; Etherscan’s Gas tracker is nearly uselessly-inaccurate at this time. I've heard that there's a congestion attack; that was said a week ago, and it appears to be ongoing... (I can't think of any other suspect besides Justin Sun to blame it on... it must be incredibly expensive to overload the blockchain for this long... I may be wrong though...)Let’s beginFor myself, I was trying to send an ERC20 token when this dreadful issue attacked. Specifically, the token was either BSOV or GRT; I sent them 1 after the other and the first succeeded, and the second one took over a week.(They’re both great tokens in my opinion and deserve much more attention than they’ve been getting. BSOV is nearing its 1 year anniversary as I write this, and GRT is still in its 90 day community-development progress test, so of course I'm gonna take this opportunity to "shill" them; they are great tokens with great communities).I was able to finally fix it, after a week of mental agony (also the txn finally processed 1-2 hours before I found the solution, robbing me of the gratitude of fixing it myself... (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻ ...but now I guess I can hopefully save some of you the headaches that I endured... ) I’m providing the ability to do the same, in a step by step guide. Why did I go through all of this trouble? I'd fault the fact that I have ADHD and autism, which in my case can multiply each other’s intensity and cause me to “hyper-focus” on things, much much more than most with the same qualities, intentionally or not. Adderall is supposed to give me a bit of control over it, but except for in a very-generalized way, it’s still 90% up to chance and my default-capabilities to allow me control over my attention with self-willpower. But also Karma and Moons pls... ʘ‿ʘIn MyCrypto, (I'm using the Windows 10 app, version 1.7.10) you will open to a screen that says "How would you like to access your wallet?". Choose Ledger, of course. (Unless your here for some non-ledger issue? Idk why you would be but ok.)On the next screen (having your nano already plugged in, unlocked, and opened into the Ethereum app) click "Connect to Ledger Wallet"A screen overlay should appear, titled: "Select an Address". Here is where it may get confusing for some users. Refer to "AAA" below to know how to find your account. (Geez, sorry lol that was a huge amount of info for a reddit reply; I might've over-elaborated a little bit too much. but hey it's valuable information nonetheless!)After escaping the "AAA" section, you'll have accessed your account with MyCrypto. Awesome! To find your ERC20 tokens, (slight evil-laughter is heard from an unidentifiable origin somewhere in the back of your mind) go to "AAB".(You may have decided to find the token(s) on your own, rather than daring to submit to my help again; if so, you may pity those who chose the other path... ~~( ̄▽ ̄)~~) Now, once you've added your token, you should revert your attention to the account's transfer fill-out form!I'll combine the steps you probably understood on your own, already. Put in the address that your stuck transaction is still trying to send currency to. If an ERC20 token is involved, use the drop-down menu to change "ETH" to the token in trouble. Input your amount into the box labeled... wait for it... "Amount". Click on "+Advanced".Refer to Etherscan.com for the data you will need. Find the page for your "transaction(txn) hash/address" from the transaction history on the wallet/Ethereum-manager you used to send from. If that is unavailable, put your public address that your txn was sent from into the search tool and go to its info page; you should be able to find the pending txn there. Look to open the "more details" option to find the transaction's "Nonce" number.Put the nonce in the "Nonce" box on MyCrypto; you will contest the pending txn with a new txn that offers larger gas fees, by using the same nonce. If (but most likely "When") the new transaction is processed first, for being more miner-beneficial, the nonce will then be completed, and the old transaction will be dropped because it requests an invalid, now-outdated nonce. Your account will soon be usable!Go to the Gas Tracker, and it may or may not provide an informative reading. Choose whatever amount you think is best, but choose wisely; if you're too stingy it may get stuck again, and you'd need to pay another txn's gas to attempt another txn-fix.At the time I write this, I'd recommend 50-100 gwei; to repeat myself, gas requirements are insane right now. To be safe, make the gas limit a little higher than MCW's automatic calculation, you may need to undo the check-mark for "Automatically Calculate Gas Limit".Press "Send Transaction"!!!You will need to validate the action through your nano. It will have you validate three different things if you are moving an ERC20 Token. It's a good idea to verify accuracy, as always.Well, I hope this worked for you! If not, you can let me know in a reply and I'll try to figure it out with you. I like making these in-depth educational posts, so if you appreciate it please let me know; I'll probably make more posts like this in the future!( Surely this is at least far better than Ledger's "Support" article where they basically just tell you "Yeah, we haven't bothered to make a way to manually select nonces. I guess we might try to make that available for Bitcoin accounts at some point in the future; who knows? lol"... that's not infuriating at all, right?)AAA:Before I tell you how to find your address, I will first make it clear, within the italicized text, exactly which address you are looking for, if you are not already sure:You may also skip the text written in italics if your issue does not include an ERC20 token, if you wish.Ledger Live can confuse some users with its interface. On LL, to manage an ERC20 token, you first must go to your Ethereum account and add the token. When you then click on the added token under "Tokens" below the graph chart for your account's ETH amount over time, the screen will then open a new screen, that looks just the same, except focused on the specific ERC20 token. To confuse users further, there is then an option to "Star account", which then add the ETH icon with the ERC20 token's first letter or symbol overlapping, onto the easy access sidebar, as if it was another account of similar independency to the ETH account it was added to.This improperly displays the two "accounts" relation to each other.Your ERC20 holdings (at least for any and all ERC20 that I know of) are "held" in the exact-same address as the Ethereum address it was added to, which also "holds" any Ether you've added to it. You send both Ether (ETH) and any ERC20 Tokens to and from only Ethereum addresses of equivalent capabilities, in both qualities and quantities. In all basic terms and uses, they are the same. So, to know what the problematic account's address is, find the address of the Ethereum account it was added to in Ledger Live. Now, to find your address on MyCrypto, the most reliable way to find it, that I am aware of, is this:Open Ledger Live. Go to the screen of your Ethereum address (again, this is the one that you added your ERC20 token, if applicable. If you're not dealing with an ERC20 token, you may ignore everything I've put in Italics). Click on "Edit account"; this is the icon next to the star that may look like a hex-wrench tool. On the new screen-overlay, you will see "> ADVANCED LOGS". Click on the ">" and it will point down while revealing a drop-down with some data that you may or may not recognize/understand. Likely to be found indented and in the middle-ish area, you will see this line, or something hopefully similar:"freshAddressPath": "44'/60'/X'/0/0",The "X" will probably be the only thing that changes, and the actual data will have a number in its place; it will not be a letter. Let's now put that line to use in MyCrypto:Take the 44'/60'/X'/0/0 , and make sure you DO NOT copy the quotation marks, or that comma at the end either. You can do this before or after copying and/or pasting, but drop the second "/0" at the end; it was not necessary in my case, I expect that you won't need it either, and will probably just make MyCrypto see it as an invalid input.Okay, now go back to the "Select an Address" screen-overlay in MyCrypto.Next to "Addresses", click on the box on the right, and you should be shown a list of options to select from in a drop-down menu.Scroll all the way down, and you should find the "Custom" option at the very bottom. Select it.A new box will appear; probably directly to the right of the now-shortened box that now displays the "Custom" option that you just selected. This box will offer an interface for typed input. ...yep... once again, believe it or not, you should click it.Type " m/ ", no spaces before or after.Type in or paste the data we retrieved from ledger live. The box should now hold this:m/44'/60'/X'/0Again, X should be a number. In fact, that number is probably equal to the number of Ethereum (not including any ERC20 wannabe) accounts that you've made on Ledger Live before making the one we're working on right now! (1st Eth. Acc. would have: X = 0, 2nd: X = 1, 3rd: X = 2, ...)Make sure you've included every apostrophe ( ' ), and solidus ( / ); there is NO APOSTROPHE for the "m" at the start and the "/0" at the end!If you press the enter key or click on the check-mark to the right of where you typed, the appropriate addresses will be generated, and the address you created through Ledger Live should be the first one on the list!Select your address and press "Unlock", and you are now accessing your account through the MyCrypto app's interface!AAB:In order to access your ERC20 token, you will need to add them first. You may have to scroll down, but on the right-side of your unlocked account screen, you'll see a box with "Token Balances" as its header.Click "Scan for tokens". This may take a short bit of time, and when it's done it may or may not display your ERC20 token. If it worked, you can head on back to the main part.If you got the result I did, it won't display your token, or, if our result was exactly the same, it won't display any at all. However, you should now have the "Add Custom Token" option available, so see where that takes you.You should discover four boxes, specified in order (Address/ Decimals / Token_Symbol / Balance). You may only need to fill in the "Address" box, but if you need to fill others, you'll find those with the token's address; here's 2 ways to find it, if you don't already know.Method I:Since you've probably already been managing your token with Ledger Live, you can go to the LL screen of your "account" for that token; Right next to the account's icon, and directly above the name, you'll see:Contract: 0x??????...????????Yes, go on; click it. You'll find the token's page on Etherscan; this was just a shortcut to the same place that both of the two previously referenced methods lead to. Skip to method... III?Method II:Go to Etherscan.com, or a similar Ethereum-blockchain-monitoring website, if you have a different preference. Search for the name of your token, and you should be able to see it as a search result. Activate your search manually of by selecting search option. Continue on with Method III.Method III (Iⅈ what makes you think there was a third method? I said 2!):At this point, you should find the "contract address" somewhere on the screen. This is the identity of the creature that breathes life into the token, allowing it to exist within the world of Ethereum. Steal it, and tell MyCrypto that you've left some of "your" tokens in the address of your ledger's Ethereum account. MyCrypto will trust and believe you without any concern or doubt, just by putting "your" contract address in the box for "Address"; it's almost too easy!Well whaddya know, this one isn't actually too long! Don't tell anyone who may have taken a little longer whilst finding out how to do it themselves, though. There's value in trying to do something on your own, at least at first, so I'll let them think they made the right choice (¬‿¬). But take this star for humbling yourself enough to seek further help when you need it, since that is a very important life skill as well!(o゜▽゜)o☆Now, back to the useful stuff at the top...

Make your own stakebox. Ultimate beginners guide how to compile any wallet on AARCH64 (Raspbery pi and other SBC)

I contemplated to wrote this for a long time, so it's finally time.As you know a lot of altcoins uses PoS (Proof-of-stake) way of "mining" coins. Which basically means, that you hold coins on your unlocked wallet and you are receiving stakes as a reward. This requires very little power and it can bring you a lot of rewards, at just 10W from the wall.So first I am using latest Raspbian on RPI4B 4GB in this example.Setting up Raspbian is not part of this process since it's very well documented. I recommend to change user from pi to something else due to security concerns and you can also do other stuff just search "security Raspberry PI" and you find a lot of articles, but this is not the focus of this guide.I know there are a lot of guides on the internet, but I am using like 5 sources, so it's compiled what other people wrote and some of my research.I am using AnyDesk insted of SSH or VNC server, because it works it's ligthweit and it just works. So after you see the gui of Raspbian, just launch terminal (CTRL + ALT + T) and do basic thing:sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgradeThan press Y and let it run, after is finished, we need to prepare so dependency packages. Since most of the wallets using Berkeley DB 4.8 we need to obtain it.So in terminal wrote:cd cd Downloads wget https://ift.tt/1k76EC9 tar -xzvf db-4.8.30.NC.tar.gz cd db-4.8.30.NC/build_unix ../dist/configure --enable-cxx make sudo make install So wait unti it's finished and than you can delete files in Downloads folder in gui or use:sudo rm -r [folder] So next thing we need to install some libraries.sudo apt-get install git build-essential libtool autotools-dev autoconf pkg-config libssl-dev libcrypto++-dev libevent-dev libminiupnpc-dev libgmp-dev libboost-all-dev devscripts libdb++-dev libsodium-dev And pres y and let it run. After that another set of libraries:sudo apt-get install libqt5gui5 libqt5core5a libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev qttools5-dev-tools libprotobuf-dev protobuf-compiler libcrypto++- dev libminiupnpc-dev qt5-default And then again pres y and let it run. Some wallets need older version of libssl1.0-dev, so for for safe compiling we install that as well:sudo apt-get install libssl1.0-dev Pres y and let it run. Warning don't use sudo-apt get autoremove, since it would wipe this package, since it's old.Next thing we are going to obtain Bitcoin PPA filest, which can be done like this.cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ sudo nano bitcoin.list Paste this in there:deb-src https://ift.tt/1iNfiQF artful main And CTRL+X and than y, then do this:sudo apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv C70EF1F0305A1ADB9986DBD8D46F45428842CE5E sudo apt-get update So now we are ready for compiling. So we are going create folders. CD yourself where this folder should be situated, if you for example have plugged in some external drive. Then:mkdir Crypto cd Crypto And then we have to choose wallet which you want to compile. I am choosing Streamies (STRMS) as an example, since it's pretty good coin for staking. So:mkdir Streamies cd Streamies Then go to the github page and click on the green button on the left and click copy to clipboard, which gives you git link.git clone https://ift.tt/3dgSviI Watch the output folder which it creates, it's stated in the first two lines and copy then by highliting the text and CTRL+SHIFT+C copy it to your clipboard.cd Streamies (this is that git created folder) ./autogen.sh ./configure CPPFLAGS="-I/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.8/include -O2" LDFLAGS="-L/usr/local/BerkeleyDB.4.8/lib" sudo make (this could take hours) sudo make install And you are done, files is going to be in folder /usr/local/bin (DO NOT delete git created folder, because you are going to need it for faster compiling, when wallet get's and update.)cd /usr/local/bin Now you can list files by:ls And then you can copy/move them where ever you want by using:sudo mv [file] [destination full path] Do this for everz file which is there. Go back to folder where zou move those files.sudo chmod +x streamies-qt (since we want to run wallet) In most cases compiled files are going to in format of "shared library" so we need to create script to run it. Open up a text editor from gui or through nano. And paste this to that file:#!/bin/bash ./streamies-qt And save it as a sh file, for example run.sh. Then we need to make it runnable so:sudo chmod +x run.sh Now to run it, it's just:./run.sh And here we are glorious GUI wallet appears and you are done, you can paste blockchain, wallet.dat from other sources, so this migration is pretty easy and you, if you have it on for exaple flash disk.So this is basic how to compile QT wallets on AARCH64. I am running 7 wallets, 2 of those are Masternodes and RPI 4B 4GB would handle way more, I am at best on half of my RAM.Some wallets need more package, but it's not much of and issue, since compiling stops and you just copy paste nape which is missing put it in the google and add "apt-get" after the name of package and you are going to see, what is the name of the packages so it can be retreived from package assinstant aka apt-get. So basically:sudo apt-get install [package name] Then press y and again wrote:sudo make This process is going to continue where it was left off, so nothing is going to run from beginning.Updating wallets is basically exactly same, just repeat steps from "git clone" and after that proceed as it was written above. So I hope this helps some of you, to use this at home and not on some VPS, if you are anxious as me, to host my wallets on remote server.

The events of a SIM swap attack (and defense tips)

Posted this on r/Coinbase and someone recommend it also be posted here. The information below on an attempted SIM swap attack was pieced together through a combination of login and security logs, recovering emails initiated by the attacker that were deleted and then deleted again from the trash folder, and learning from AT&T’s fraud representatives. The majority if this is factual, and we do our best to note where we are speculating or providing a circumstantial suspicion. TLDRs at the bottom. The full story:We were going about our business and received a text from AT&T that says “…Calls & texts will go to your new phone/SIM card. Call 866-563-4705 if you did not request.” We did not request this, and were suspicious that the text itself could be a phishing scam since we searched the phone number and it wasn’t overtly associated with AT&T. Thus, we tried calling AT&T’s main line at 611 but all we hear is beep beep beep. The phone number is already gone. We use another phone to call AT&T and at the same time start working on our already compromised email. While we didn’t see everything real time, this is what the recovered emails show. In less than 2 minutes after receiving the text from AT&T, there is already an email indicating that the stolen phone number was used to sign into our email account associated with Coinbase. 2 minutes after that, there is an email from Coinbase saying:"We have received your request for password reset from an unverified device. As a security precaution, an e-mail with a reset link will be sent to you in 24 hours. Alternatively, if you would like your password reset to be processed immediately, please submit a request using a verified device. This 24 hour review period is designed to protect your Coinbase account."This is where Coinbase got it right to have a 24 hour review period (actually a recovery period) before allowing the password to be reset. However, the attackers knew this and planned to steal the second email from Coinbase by setting email rules to forward all emails to a burner address and also have any emails containing “coinbase” re-routed so they don’t appear in the Inbox. 5 minutes later, they request a password reset from Gemini and the password was reset to the attacker’s password within a minute after that. The next minute they target and reset DropBox’s password followed immediately with Binance. Less than 2 minutes later, an email from Binance indicates that the password has been reset and another email arrives a minute later indicating a new device has been authorized. It’s at this point that we begin locking the attacker out by (1) removing the phone number as 2FA (2) changing the email password, (3) and three forcing a logout of all sessions from the email. There was a bit of back and forth where they still had an active login and re-added the stolen phone number as 2FA.They added only one more password reset to a gaming account that was not deleted. I can only suspect that was a decoy to make it look like the attack was directed at gaming rather than finances. The Gemini and Binance accounts were empty and effectively abandoned, with no balances and inactive bank accounts (if any), and no transactions in 1-3 years. DropBox had no meaningful files (they probably look for private keys and authenticator backups) and the phone number they stole from us was suspended, so as far as the attacker is concerned, there is no meat on this bone to attack again… unless they had inside information. This is where I suspect someone internal at Coinbase receiving wire deposits has been compromised in tipping off ripe accounts – accounts with new and somewhat large balances. We had completed a full withdrawal of funds from Coinbase earlier in the year, and had a balance of less than $20 heading into May. Deposits to Coinbase staggered in to get above six figures through mid-May then stopped. The attack occurred 7 days after the last large wire deposit was made to Coinbase. From the perspective of an attacker that had no inside information, we were a dead end with abandoned Gemini and Binance accounts with zero balances and stale transactions, no DropBox information, and the suspended phone number access. Our Coinbase deposits were known to no one except us, Coinbase, and our bank. We were also able to stop the hacker’s email forwarding before Coinbase’s 24 hour period to send the password reset, so this one didn’t work out for the attackers and it would make sense for them to move on to the next rather than put efforts into a second attack only for Coinbase - for what would appear to be a zero-balance Coinbase account based on the other stale accounts.Then…23 hours and 42 minutes after the first attack, another message from AT&T “…Calls & texts will go to your new phone/SIM card. Call 866-563-4705 if you did not request.” Here we go again. We had been confident in AT&T’s assurances that our account had been locked and would not be SIM swapped again, so we unwisely added the phone number back to our email account as a backup (it’s now removed permanently and we use burner emails for account recovery like we should have all along).Upon seeing that our phone number had been stolen again I knew they were after the Coinbase reset email that was delayed by 24 hours from Coinbase as part of their security. We did 4 things within 2 minutes of that text: (1) removed the phone number again from the email account – this time for good, (2) market sell all Bitcoin on Coinbase, (3) withdraw from Coinbase, (4) have AT&T suspend service on the phone line.In speaking with AT&T, they were floored that our SIM would be transferred again in light of all the notes about fraud on the account and the PIN being changed to random digits that had never been used by us before. Based on the response of disbelief from AT&T on the second port, I suspect that this attack also involved a compromised AT&T employee that worked with the attacker to provide timely access to the Coinbase password reset email. Apparently, this has been going on for years: https://ift.tt/2ZKiXxo phone carrier employees swapping SIMs for $80s a swap.Remember that most of this was hidden in real time, and was only known because we were able to recover emails deleted from Trash by the attacker.Since we require any withdrawals to use Google Authenticator on Coinbase, our funds may have been secure nonetheless. However, under the circumstances with attackers that were apparently working with insiders to take our phone number twice in attempts to steal Bitcoin, and it being unknown if they had additional tools related to our Google Authenticator, we decided it was safer on the sidelines. The coins were held on the exchange for a quick exit depending on whether Bitcoin was going to break up or down from $10,000. A hardware wallet is always safest, but we were looking to time the market and not have transaction delays. For some some security recommendations:AT&T: If you are going to send a text saying that calls and texts are moving to a new number, provide a 10 minute window for the phone number to reply with a “NO” or “STOP” to prevent the move. This can escalate the SIM dispute to more trusted employees to determine who actually owns the line. Don’t let entry level employees swap SIMs.Coinbase: Do not default to phone numbers as 2FA. Also, if someone logs in successfully with the password before the 24 hours are up, the password is known and there is no need to send the password reset email again for attacker to have forwarded to them. At least have an option to stop the password reset email from being sent. We did not tag our account at Coinbase with fraud because of the stories of frozen funds once an account is tagged. I’m not sure what the solution is there, but that is another problem.Being a trader, it would be nice to think of Coinbase as any other type of security brokerage where your assets are yours (someone can’t steal your phone number and transfer your stocks to their account). We fell into that mindset of security, yet this experience has reminded us of the uniqueness of cryptocurrency and the lack of custodial assurance and insurance from exchanges because of the possession-is-everything properties of cryptocurrency. As many have said before, 2FA with a phone number quickly becomes 1-factor authentication as soon as that phone number is associated with password recovery on your email or other accounts. Our overall recommendation is to avoid having a phone number associated with any recovery options across all your accounts.TLDR on the process:Scammers will steal your phone number (in our case twice in 24 hours) and use your phone number to access your email and accounts. They will use your email to reset passwords at financial accounts and file hosting such as DropBox. They will then use that combination to transfer any assets they can access from your accounts to theirs. They will do their best to hide this from you by(1) not resetting your email password so as to raise suspicion,(2) immediately delete any password reset emails you may receive from financial accounts to hide them from you,(3) attempt to forward all emails sent to your address to a burner email, and(4) set email rules to forward emails containing “coinbase” to an email folder other than your Inbox so that you don’t see the transactions and password reset emails that arrive to your inbox.TLDR on defense tips: If your phone stops working or you receive a text of your number being ported do the following as soon as possible:(1) log into your email account(s) associated with your financial accounts and remove your phone number as 2FA immediately(2) change your email password,(3) force a logout of all sessions from your email (at this point you have locked them out), then(4) check your mail forwarding settings for forwards to burner addresses,(5) check your mail rules for rerouting of emails from accounts such as Coinbase, and(6) call your carrier to have them suspend service on your lost phone number and ask them to reinstate your SIM or get a new SIM. This will require a second phone because your personal phone number has been stolen. We hope this helps some others be safe out there in protecting their coins. The more we know, the more we can protect ourselves. Wishing you all the best!

Important information on the upcoming cryptocurrency legislation in the European Union (European Commission)

I have seen a European Commission internal document, discussing upcoming EU regulations on "crypto-assets". I will not cite anything directly because I am not too sure if this information is public and I do not want these crypto-journalists to write 100 articles about a draft because the document I saw was not a final document (but still important and probably similar to the final document). There is some complicated stuff in there and some vague statements but I did my best to understand the most important sections. It is totally possible that this is a future public document but I am just not sure at this point. It is a document within the Q3 2020 framework. These are some of my observations. They are discussing something very interesting: an EU market-infrastructure to trade and settle security tokens. In general, they are heavily balancing the gradations of regulation against innovation. This means that in the document they are actively stating that they need to watch out with strict regulation as they do not want to damage early innovation in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. This is good news. The EU is taking stablecoins very seriously. They are currently in favor of tailor-made new EU-legislation on stablecoins. This legislation will have clear rules on the reserves behind stablecoins: they mention disclosure rules AND auditing! The EU emphasizes clearly the possible risks of stablecoins on EU financial stability. They are actively discussing creation an EU-wide framework for exchanges, projects and wallet providers that must protect EU consumers. This means that White Papers of projects/ICOs need to have transparent information that is not misleading. This also means that exchanges must follow rules such as no manipulation, no misleading marketing, sufficient customer support, conflict of interest rules and have mechanisms to prevent market manipulation.Generally, no negative narrative about cryptocurrencies. They even mention some advantages of cryptocurrencies. A negative narrative about stablecoins nonetheless. In sum, I do not expect heavy regulation on cryptocurrencies. I do expect serious regulation on stablecoins and medium regulation on exchanges and wallet providers. Please do not use this information for speculative investment purposes. Thank you.

Banned from r/capitalism-in-decay for talking about cryptocurrency.

I made the argument that the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency poses a significant threat to the central banks, the ones using USD as a weapon against certain classes of people, of common topic on that subreddit. I argued that cryptocurrencies transparency would help us weed out corruption and help power transition out of the hands of the central banks and into the hands of the people. They pushed back saying they wanted the power to transfer to them, followed by a 180 day ban. This is why centralization can't work. Groups of people (capitalists and communists alike) want power for themselves, not equal footing with their peers. And neither side is interested in hearing an opinion that doesn't exactly align with their own. Even if that opinion is not of the opposition's belief, they label it as such. Because capitalists believe power must stay in the hands of the central banks, as that's what gives them the power.Call me a cyberocratic syndicalist I guess. Neither right, nor left. I'm of the opinion that computers change everything, government included. Benevolent Monarchies are always more fair to the people than democracies, but monarchs are limited by human lifespan. So lets build an open source, blockchain enabled, decentralized governing AI. Something fast and adaptive so it can update with the changing society, while not being bogged down by bureaucracy, something compeltely transparent and verifiable.

Coinbase charges $40 to buy $1000 worth of bitcoin...

I checked my app, am I missing out on some joke here? So would it cost ~$360 to buy one whole bitcoin? If someone were buying bitcoin to simply flip for a profit afterwards, why would they not purchase through something like Robinhood with no fees? Why does anyone use coinbase?

Huobi is the absoulte WORST

Anyone have similar experiences? I need my transaction history from last year but they refused to give it to me unless I verify myself with sending them my ID. They couldn't say how I can be sure they don't use it to anything else or that they'd delete my info once I gave it to them, so basically I need to just trust them (how ironic).Well, after a month I gave in and verified myself because the tax officials demand I provide all the information.... and: nothing happens. Nothing at all. I can see my history but can't download it. Or, elswhere, I can download, but only since the beginning of this year. When I asked about it the send me a completely irrelevant mess of an email with horrible english just repeating:"Hello, about your question, please check the following question:1、where you login your account?when you created your account? the last time to try to log in to the account;2、The remaining assets (COIN and AMOUNT) in your account ;3、Have you made transaction recently, if have, which coin?"What the hell is this? This is hands down the worst, and I mean WORST experience I have had with any exchange. Anyone have simlar experiences? Any tips what to do?TL;DRAVOID Huobi, it is a scammy, non secure exchange with absolute zero customer friendliness (at least for a retail investor). Never again.

This means he either lied in court (purjury) or need to provide evidence he actually has access to these wallets too. This proves someone involved in the early days of Bitcoin (mathematically verifiable) thinks Craig Wright is not Satoshi. This does not mean Satoshi signed this message (it could be though). It does not matter anyway, we are all Satoshi.Note: DO NOT COPY YOUR OWN PRIVATE KEY ONTO ANY OF THESE WEBSITES.

Conscious exclusion

There are two main actors in this space that thrive on attention whether or not it's positive or negative. Because they are narcissistic sociopaths they don't mind whether what kind of attention they get so long as the attention is pointed their way. I'm rather tired of seeing their names and projects mentioned in this community and am thus requesting that we start utilizing the power of the downvote anytime their names are mentioned. Resist upvoting drama, just downvote anytime you see their name. They will only lose their power when we start exerting the power we have.

Cryptocurrency Act of 2020

Source 1 - https://ift.tt/2X2xtPg 2 - https://ift.tt/2A8Bvwa didn't even know that this existed until recently but upon further research, I did noticed that this topic isn't discussed very often. Within the past few years, governments worldwide have started to get more and more involved in the cryptocurrency community. I know China stated recently that they are going to release a stablecoin soon and then there's the newly released USDC which is actually audited unlike USDT. I know Russia proposed some legislation recently as well.I admit I'm fairly inexperience with all but I thought the entire point of cryptocurrency was that it was decentralized. Where do you guys think the world headed and how do you think it will affect the cryptocurrency community?

What I learned from my 72 hours of HitBTC lock-down, and a couple rules to follow when looking for new exchanges

I'm a developer who's been experimenting with different exchange APIs and programming trading bots. I was told HitBTC had low trading fees, and had pretty decent API documentation. Without any research, I made a HitBTC account, or at least I reopened an old one. Apparently I had made an account with hitBTC a while back, and so I had to change my password, in order to do this I had to accept a 72 hour lock-down of withdraws from my account. I accepted, did the KYC, and moved a decent amount of money (a bit under 2000$) to a hitBTC account, things were looking good, for a couple seconds. This was when I got hit with this email:" Dear User,We regret to inform you that we do not provide our services to US citizens and customers whose primary country of residence is the US. This is due to the regulatory framework for digital asset trading in the US.Deposits to your account are not operational. Withdrawals, if applicable, are operational within next 14 business days. "I went to check my account, and everything was shut down. The funds I had transferred were there, but couldn't be withdrawn for 72 hours due to the password lock down. After a moment of panicking and reading through a series of a majority negative and aggressive critiques of HitBTC (a-la this subreddit), I felt doomed. My money's lost forever. I just gambled nearly 2000$ on this sketchy looking exchange. The 72 hours passed, and I checked to see if I could withdraw on time, which surprisingly went as smooth as promised in their original automated email. No money was stolen, and I wasn't scammed out of anything besides my time, but the entire situation left me with a critique of HitBTC as well as the way in which I've been treating exchanges and my $$$.They say hindsight is 20/20, so here is me sharing with you what I've learned before you make a similar mistake. A couple rules to follow when looking for new exchanges:#1: RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH. Google the fricken exchange first, search terms like "[INSERT EXCHANGE NAME HERE] scam", ask around! If the exchange has a telegram/discord/slack, join in and find someone to help mentor you through setting up an account, most exchanges are more than willing to help walk a new user through. If the community seems toxic and full of scam bots, then that will probably be reflected in the exchange itself. Develop this skill for discerning between a solid or fraudulent exchange. Trust your instinct, but keep in mind the critiques of those who have been burned before! Err on the safe side. If I had done just the tiniest bit of research I would've avoided making a hitBTC account to start with. knowledge is power!#2: Test deposits/withdraws. First off, if the exchange won't let your withdraw your funds until x amount of time after making an account, it's most likely a scam. Even if it's not a scam, exchanges holding your $ over your head in defense of your personal security is questionable and may bring up inconveniences in the future. To start try loading the minimum deposit and withdraw into your account to play around with. Withdraw it to a trusted account, and only after this transaction is successful should you deposit your intended deposit to the new exchange. A quick test deposit would've saved me the last three days of wondering whether or not I'd get my money back.#3: Respond to others who are struggling with the same issues. That's what I'm trying to do now, I'm making a point of sharing this post so those of you who are experiencing something similar know that you'll most likely be able to withdraw your money once your account is unlocked, so take a deep breath and withdraw ASAP after the time period is lifted. If you're in a country that isn't verified with HitBTC, and you've changed your password recently, you're in the exact same boat as I was, and YOU WILL get your money back *fingers crossed*.All that being said, this entire ordeal SUCKED. It was mainly my fault, I put myself here, I'm not denying that, but the overall experience would've been made WAY less anxiety-ridden had HitBTC set up a better system around locking out people from un-verified countries. We can critique why HitBTC isn't open to US customers at a later time, but for now, I'd like for whatever lingering team members are around the HitBTC HQ reading this to take 5 minutes out of some front-end devs life to add in bright red font on the KYC page or in the account sign up, these countries are not eligible for verification with a list of the countries that you'll inevitably lock the accounts of.If you're at all concerned with the efficacy of your product and the appearance of your exchange as one worth trusting your money in, you should spend some time developing a better support response team, and a more streamlined KYC.Until this occurs you will always be viewed as a scam, and people experiencing preventable account lockdown and other minor user-errors will continue to post about your fraudulence, even if it may be perceived in the heat of the moment.I want to be clear, I got my money back, I WAS NOT SCAMMED. But that doesn't relieve HitBTC of their overall sketchiness and lackluster support team. Do yourself a favor, and if you can avoid this exchange. You'll thank yourself in the long run.

Introducing r/CryptoCurrency Moons

TL;DR: Moons are a new way for people to be rewarded for their contributions to r/CryptoCurrency. Claim your Moons in the new Vault section of the Reddit iOS or Android app! They represent ownership in the subreddit, they are tokens on the Ethereum blockchain controlled entirely by you, and they can be freely transferred, tipped, and spent in r/CryptoCurrency.https://ift.tt/2WT9nFd we’re launching a new feature in limited communities called Community Points. Community Points are a way for users to be rewarded for their contributions with a unit of ownership in their subreddit. Community Points can be earned, tipped, won, collected, and spent on unique items within a community. Each subreddit has its own stylization of Community Points, and the ones in r/CryptoCurrency are called Moons.A MoonHow do you get Moons?Moons are distributed monthly based on individual contributions (comments, posts, etc.) that people make in r/CryptoCurrency. Reddit karma provides a basis for measuring people’s contribution, but the final decision is up to the community.Initially, 50 million Moons will be distributed based on karma earned in the subreddit to date. The amount distributed each following month will start at 5 million and decrease by 2.5% every cycle, so that the total number of Moons distributed over time will approach a maximum cap of 250 million.Distribution ScheduleWhat can you do with Moons?Moons can be traded freely and used for any number of purposes within the community. At this time, they can be used to display reputation within the subreddit, unlock exclusive features like badges and GIFs in comments with a Special Membership, and add weight to votes in polls.New Special MembershipOn the BlockchainMoons exist as ERC-20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain, where they are managed by a suite of smart contracts that handle balances, transfers, distribution/claiming, and purchasing Special Memberships. The smart contracts and mobile apps have been reviewed and audited by Trail of Bits, an independent security firm with blockchain expertise. As blockchain tokens, Moons are independent of Reddit. Once you’ve earned them, neither Reddit nor moderators can take your Moons away or decide what you do with them. They’re all yours.Community Points are currently on the Rinkeby testnet (through summer 2020). We plan to migrate Community Points to the Ethereum mainnet, and Points balances will be carried over.Note: If you send Moons to outside non-Reddit wallets or contracts, you are sending them to testnet addresses. These tokens will not show up in outside software (e.g. wallet apps, Etherscan) unless you switch to Rinkeby and use the testnet Moons contract address (0xDF82c9014F127243CE1305DFE54151647d74B27A).How to get started with your Reddit VaultThe first Moons will soon be distributed to every active contributor in the subreddit with at least 100 karma. You can get started by claiming your Moons in the new Vault section of the Reddit mobile app, which includes more details on the start-up process and how Moons work. Please note that you will need to set up your Vault the first time you access it, and you will need to be on the latest version of the Reddit app (2020.17.0 or later). We will be rolling the Vault out over the course of the day, so if you don’t see it now, please check back later.See the inspiration for Community Points and get startedThank you r/CryptoCurrencyWe are launching Community Points today in a couple of subreddits that have opted into this experiment and with whom we will be working closely. We are very excited to have you join us in this new beginning and we’re looking forward to seeing what ideas you have for Community Points. We’ll be sticking around to answer any questions you have, so please ask away in the comments below. Thank you!

Bitpanda requires to know how you earned the money you buy crypto with... a sad time when Exchanges officially became banks

just got this email from Bitpanda after trying to deposit funds via SEPA transfer: "You recently initiated a transaction on Bitpanda which is still pending. We need your support in order to successfully complete this transaction. As of January 2020, we are required by law to obtain proof of funds from you before we can execute your outstanding transaction. A proof of funds (POF) is a document or a collection of documents showing the origin of financial resources which you have used for fiat deposits (i.e. deposits made in EUR, CHF, GBP and USD). The proof of funds also includes information concerning the origin of your cryptoassets which have been used for fiat withdrawals (i.e. withdrawals in EUR, CHF, GBP and USD). Even though this may sound complicated, all you actually have to do is prove how you acquired the funds. Please note that the submitted documents must not only display your most recent deposit (or withdrawal), but also the sum of your previous transactions, i.e. all previous transactions up to the stated amount. For example, we can accept the following documents (amongst others) to prove the origin of funds: - Wage, salary or pension statements (no older than six months) - Notarial proof of inheritance or a gift - Proof of the sale of real estate - Proof of earnings from renting and leasing - Proof of earnings from fixed assets or shareholding - Proof of the sale of shares in a company - Proof of earnings from investments Simply stating the source of the funds is not sufficient. The document must be sent to us as an attachment. Please send the required documents in the form of JPG/JPEG, PNG or PDF via the “Proof of Funds” section of our contact form. Unfortunately, attachments in other formats cannot be processed. We understand that it may not always be easy to provide all the evidence for this amount but we are required to request this proof by law. If you are unable to provide proof for this amount, please contact our support team directly via our contact form. If required, further information on this topic can be found in our privacy policy under the heading “Details to and proof of funds” and under point 2.7 of our terms & conditions. Please note that if we do not receive the above-mentioned documents we would need to refund the transaction in question and the usage of your account will be limited. We thank you for your cooperation.Best regards,Team Bitpanda" While I'm not surprised as they deal with fiat and have KYC and AML procedures on sign up, I'm still very sad to see this is happening with addition of a mini threat that if its not provided my account will be limited.

What's the cleverest scam you've seen in crypto?

And I'm not talking about "hurr durr, btc/eth/xrp is the cleverest scam in crypto". I'm talking actual flat out scams.Cleverest I've seen is a guy who "accidentally leaks" his private key to his Ethereum wallet in several chatrooms. There is no ETH in the wallet but a few shitcoin ERC20 tokens. So people will send a small amount of ETH to the address to pay for the gas to get the tokens out. But the scammer has set up a script to withdraw the sent ETH out of the wallet before the person has time to withdraw the tokens. You can view one of the addresses here: https://ift.tt/2TsyPQP and see there are over 27k transactions and it has been actively going on for over 3 years now. If you read the comments some people have actually written scripts just to see if they can beat the guy in withdrawing the tokens faster than the scammer can steal the ETH. It's completely brilliant and evil.

TL;DR Moons and Bricks go brrr

Scaling Reddit's Moon and Brick using Fuel's Optimistic RollupsLast week, Reddit launched Community Points, a set of Ethereum ERC-20 tokens for the /r/CryptoCurrency and /r/FortniteBR subreddits. And in that week, Moon tokens have been transferred over 3000 times!Reddit is currently covering all transaction fees for these transfers. The tokens are currently deployed on a testnet, so the fees don’t cost actual money. However, if they were using the Ethereum mainnet (as Reddit plans to do later this year), then Reddit would have spent approximately ~$3542+ in fees! And that’s just for the first week with relatively minimal use by reddit standards!Thankfully, we have a solution that would bring that cost down to only ~$60 (almost 60x cheaper)!Reddit CashToday we’re releasing a demo of Reddit Cash, a Burner Wallet powered using Fuel’s optimistic rollup for an easy and truly scalable use of Reddit Community Points. This demo lets you:Transfer: Transfer your Moons & Bricks into the Fuel sidechain.Tip: Instantly and cheaply transfer your Moons and Bricks to other users, e.g. to tip them.Exchange: swap your Moons and Bricks using our non-custodial Uniswap style exchange.Note that this is only a demonstration wallet, not a fully-fledged service—now is not the time for production release, that comes later.About FuelFuel is an optimistic rollup: a trustless, permissionless sidechain that is secured by the main Ethereum network. Anyone, anywhere, at any time, can move tokens in and out of the Fuel chain, transfer them, and more. The maximum transaction throughput of Fuel is currently around 350tps (~20x Ethereum’s at 15 tps) but will increase to ~500tps in Fuel v1.0 (contract release for Q2). Transactions are faster, cheaper, and still fully decentralized.Fuel Labs is the world leader in trustless and permissionless blockchain scaling. Our team has pioneered the design of optimistic rollups, which enable dynamic heterogeneous sharding on Ethereum today for massive scalability without sacrificing decentralization. The Fuel rollup chain is specifically optimized to maximize transaction throughput without proportionally increasing the cost of running a full node. It is the most scalable optimistic rollup chain in the world, and is designed to enable the original use case of blockchains: unstoppable digital payments.Video WalkthroughDave goes through the Reddit Cash experience:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3zihb-Z0FoUsing the Reddit Cash Demo1. Open the wallet at reddit.burnerfactory.com2. Visit the Deposit page and copy the deposit address Scroll down and select “Deposit”, than follow the instructions (i.e. copy the address into the reddit vault and send the amount you want)Deposit to Reddit Cash3. Open the Reddit mobile app and navigate to the Vault section, and send some tokens (Moon or Brick) to the deposit address provided.Reddit VaultReddit Send4. Once the deposit completes (should take around 30 seconds), your tokens will be live on the Fuel chain!Reddit Cash AppYou can transfer them to other users...Reddit Cash Sending4. ...or swap for other Reddit tokens using the Exchange feature!Reddit Cash ExchangingLearn MoreThank you for trying out the Fuel-Reddit demo!If you’d like to know more and keep up to date with new releases, follow us on Twitter @FuelLabs_. Update - Binance - Legal action - NDA’s

Seems like Binance just can’t stop playing with peoples lives. If you remember my last posts, you may know there were a number of groups created to resolve the issue. There were Binance lawyers in these groups. Let me add that all of this happens in telegram off the books.Well after my last post Binance contacted a few admins and payed them back in full. Made them sign NDA’s and they started removing members and messages. After the core group was left and we kept inviting each other, they simply took down the major groups. On the legal side, Binance has not responded to our legal letters send to Legal@binance. We have send 122 letters all fall under small claims, Binance needs to set the court date, but they won’t respond. We need pressure from the community in order to enforce action. Have you had a terrible encounter with Binance, Like the Bullbear scam or an issue with the futures platform? Contact me we have made a new telegram group with 100+ members atm.For those that are out of the loop“Binance has shown bad faith towards customers before, but never on such a massive scale, remember when you couldn’t log in? Or your positions weren’t closed when they should have been on the futures platform? Well this exact issue happened to me I closed my positions on to find out later I was about to be liquidated, a week later this happened on a massive scale, and Binance were aware of their limitations. The bull and bear issue is something simply illegal it shouldn’t have been made available, Binance manipulated the prices, and when closing the bear and bull tokens, they liquidated everyone that hadn’t read the message. (Was doen within 3 hours) they told everyone it was due to people not understanding how it works, but it was in fact because it was highly illegal, and they scammed a lot of money out of people. Why do you think they relaunched the exact same tokens, but make you sign a contract before trading with them? - this is my issue by the way.

Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day

Legend has it, today is the day the first time Bitcoin was used to purchase of a product. On May 22, 2010 a man named Laszlo Hanyecz posted on Bitcointalk forum:"I’ll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day. I like having left over pizza to nibble on later. You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I’m aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don’t have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a ‘breakfast platter’ at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you’re happy!"Another man who went by jercos accepted the offer in exchange for the 10,000 bitcoins (about $30-40 at the time). The bitcoin was sent, the pizza was ordered and delivered, and the rest is history. At the time of writing this, those 2 pizzas are worth over 90 million dollars.Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day 10th anniversary!

Can someone explain the case for Bitcoin maximalism to me? I just cannot accept that 7 transactions per second will be scalable in the future. Quit trading on leveraged exchanges. Here's why.

Bitmex and other leveraged exchanges are creating massive sell pressure on BTC. Bob goes 10x long, and Joe goes 10x short. Bitmex keeps the transaction fees in BTC for both of these trades. They turn around and sell that BTC for fiat. Trading on these exchanges is creating massive sell pressure on BTC, and the more activity, the more sell pressure that BTC will see - meaning BTC will go down when leveraged trading activity increases significantly. If this isn't good enough, then just maybe consider staying away for the simple fact that leveraged traders get REKT on both sides. Really? 100x leverage? Do you live in reality? Get the f*ck outta here! Please use common sense. And for all you shills on YouTube peddling your leveraged exchanges, I hope you get what you deserve. Please people, think for yourself. Don't get lured in and feel like you're part of some special club because these losers in YouTube are trying to indirectly take advantage of you. They don't give a shit about you; they just want to pad their pockets at YOUR expense. ok. That is all. Cheers!

Blockd has put 3 Ether in a very vulnerable smart contract. If you can get past our active security, you win it.

Blockd is back again risking another 3 Ether to demonstrate Blockd Build. For this demonstration, we’ve created a very vulnerable Ethereum contract. Anybody is able to change the owner of the contract, users are able to withdraw as much Ether as they want, and the Oraclize callback function can be called by anyone. Blockd Build, however, will stop any hacks from occurring despite the contract having these “unknown” vulnerabilities.Anyone can attempt to “hack” the contract below. Blockd will let your transaction through if it’s legitimate, such as a deposit of 1 wei then withdrawal of 1 wei (or even a withdrawal of 0 wei). If the transaction is illegitimate, such as a > 0 withdrawal with no deposit, Blockd will race your transaction to blacklist you before it is executed. The Etherscan link is: https://ift.tt/3cMri7c Build provides custom smart contract security that actively monitors for and intervenes in pending hacks. It traces pending transactions to determine their effect, then blocks the transaction or pauses the contract if malicious actions are going to take place, such as the owner variable being changed by a non-owner, the contract losing more Ether than the sender’s balance, or the Oraclize callback not matching the called API. This strategy means that we do not need to know how a hack was executed to know that we need to block it.We’re using a blacklist to block hacks as a public example so that many people can test the security. On real contracts, a pause (such as tBtc’s recent temporary pause)--using a pre-signed transaction by the contract's owner so that Blockd needs no special privileges--that stops all hack attempts and gives developers time to address the problem is a more likely blocker alternative, although every system has different needs.Blockd Build is in no way meant to replace audits and bug bounties, but to complement them with another layer of security in case any bugs slip through the cracks. For information on how the system works or to contact us, you can visit blockd.co.P.S. We’ll be withdrawing the Ether and shutting down the security after a day or so or if we start running low on gas funds needed to block the hacks.

Moons Value

A lot of people on Reddit are saying that Moons have no value, well I now want to prove that it has a value. For this reason, I want to give it a value based on a market capital of 500,000$. With a max supply of 250 million Moons I am willing to pay 2$ in Ethereum for 1000 Moons. (I strongly advise against trading cryptocurrency OTC on reddit or telegram, Moons have no value for now and the risk is 0). Let's go back to the Moons, if you send me Moons I will send you Eth (500 Moons 1$, 1000 Moons 2$ etc. 1 Moon= 0.002$) publish your address in the comment immediately after which you have sent me Moons, I will reply with the transaction to confirm that I paid in Ethereum. Now let's see if it's true that Moon have no value, let's see if someone is willing to give me his Moons 🤔.P.S. This post is only to prove the value of 🌕 and for fun, the only one who risks losing money is me because I am willing to spend 1 eth for 100000 Moons 🤔😂 (if you send me less than 500 Moon I'll pay you in Aion or Icon because the transaction is almost 0$, you can create a wallet address on Trust wallet and sell the coins on Binance)Not a financial advice 📢
