Another Month has passed us by and January was even wilder than December was! Bitcoin plateaued at over $40k, DEFI has exploded (along with gas fees) and there looks to be no stopping the wild bull market of 2021.Has Reddit's portfolio kept up?On November 5th, 2020, I asked Reddit to Pick 10 coins, the most popular would be bought on Binance and sent to the users who picked them 1 year later, November 5th, 2021.Link to the updated Spreadsheet:Almost up to 5x gains across the board.Let's see how it's going!#10: Monero - $68.98XMR is really good at hiding its gains too, apparently.Monero started out the month starting to recover its strength but eventually sagged and is trading at the same levels it started the month at. Regulatory pressure and exchange delistings continue to take its toll on the coin, as its been trading in the same range for almost the entire challenge. Hopefully it breaks out of the trend soon!#9: XRP - $94.69Wild rides up and down the line.XRP has been a rollercoaster, starting the month weak with the SEC Lawsuit rumbling and staying dormant most of the month. A coordinated Pump scheme pushed it back near its stratospheric levels of a few months ago before falling back down into the depths.#8: IOTA - $100.88Choppy waters ahead on the tangle.IOTA has been largely trading in the same $0.10 range for most of January but looks to be finally breaking out of its rut. The chart's looked like this before though, so time will tell if it's an actual breakout or if it will retrace to where it's been for most of the challenge.#7: VET - $148.90Peaks and Valleys. What once was a forerunner of the challenge has been largely stagnant over the last month, peaking to an all time high (After token split) but then retracing. Momentum seems to be slowly catching up with the hot market, so maybe we'll see VET pick up steam again in February.#6: LTO - $182.56All time highs & retraces. On a similar chart to VET, LTO actually hit its all time high on January 19th, then fell back down to earth a little bit as people realized their profits. Looks to be on the trajectory to reclaim it in February.#5: SOL - $183.56Crikey, that's a beauty. In what can only be described as a fantastic month for newcomer Solana, it's absolutely smashed all time highs for the entire month and doesn't seem to have an end in sight. What was once a laggard in the challenge seems to be pushing for a frontrunning spot in the next couple of months. Volume is steady and price is rocking.#4: ETH - $207.86ETH Fans and Miners together rejoice!Speaking of rocking graphs, the #2 Crypto isn't any slouch either. ETH has smashed its all time high and looks to be on top of the world as its quadrupled in value since the start of this challenge. With DEFI exploding and gas fees off the charts, hopefully this gives ETH the momentum to start moving into the highly anticipated 2.0.#3: ADA - $253.51Doubling in price in a month? Not bad!Cardano is no slouch this month either, starting to pick up a lot of the momentum it had from the 2017 bull run. It's nowhere near the all time highs it had yet but if it keeps on the firey track its taken, it seems inevitable that it's not too far away. Since the challenge's inception, ADA has quintupled its total value.#2: NANO - $255.04Now that's what you call explosive. Not to be outdone, NANO almost tripled in value from the very start of the month on face ripping volume. It retraced down to half that value, then has been chopping in the same area for a while. It's held most of its gains on the way down and is trading at an amazing 5x its original value in just a few short months.#1: DOGE - $900.33Such growth, much natural.Alright Elon, calm down. DOGE went from its bizarre spike last month to an EVEN MORE bizarre spike this month, fueled by WSB insanity. Our friendly Shibe coin was blowing up the blockfolio, with the $50 invested at the beginning being worth over $1600 at one point. Since then, DOGE has held its gains surprisingly well for some reason and is worth its current absurd amount._________________________________________________________________Overall, the $500 portfolio has risen a blistering $1367.06 in a month, ending the month at almost 5x total portfolio value to end at $2396.36.If the $500 (10,000 moons) had been left in moons, they would currently be worth $1,200.If the $500 had been left in BTC (0.0353 * $38,128), it would be worth $1,345.91_________________________________________________________________Reddit's portfolio has not only outperformed but almost doubled the gains of both Bitcoin AND Moons this month. Granted, this is largely with the help of whatever the heck DOGE is doing, but even without those gains it would've beaten both of them soundly.u/Madfires for ADA , u/SenatusSPQR for NANO , and u/TheRealMotherOfOP for DOGE, congrats on being the winners for this month.See you in March!
