Is your coin worthless?

I invest based on use case and sentiment. Sentiment for short term gains which I flip into coins I believe will change the world. One of the biggest factors of the dotcom bust was the realization that a lot of the companies working in the space were unnecessary. That is to say that the service they provided was better served or easily integrated into companies that had broader scopes (yanoo, Google etc) or were just things that older bigger rcompaniss were afraid of (selling bandwidth on behalf of telecoms). In its simplest form, the dotcom bust was really a consolidation. A few large companies realizing that they could take on the business of a thousand smaller, overvalued companies. This coupled with investors rapidly realizing that many of the companies in the space were not only net negative but had no roadmap to real profit crashed the market in spectacular fashionThe market we're playing in is the same. Right now betting on sentiment is fine and profitable. That said, massive consolidation will eventually come.I guess the questions are: which coins can handle the broadest range of services?and is the coin you're invested in a service easily performed by a larger and more equipped platform? Not looking for shills, just open discussion.
