It happened last Saturday, April 27th. A new smart contract was pumping huge amounts of transactions to the VeChain blockchain. Presumably a migration of Deloitte certificates switching from ETH to VET or the first milk product transactions by Bright Code. On the 24h average, the VeChain blockchain has written about 4,6 TPS on Saturday.The total transaction value is of course completely insignificant to bitcoin's, but that not the point here :)
